My husband was doing physical therapy at NHC HealthCare-Greenville. They kept him busy. He did bingo, painting, and many other things. They had bands come in and play. It was great. They were short a lot of time with nurses, especially during COVID, so sometimes it would take a while for them to come change my husband, but we understood that. Whoever cooks there should go teach the other people how to cook. It was top-notch. They would give you choices you wanted and you picked it out. You could get whatever you wanted and then they had another menu if you wanted something else on that day. You could opt out and get something like a hamburger or grilled cheese or soup or whatever. He ate every single piece of it and he never left anything. The staff was awesome. Some of them would come to visit my husband even though it wasn't their job. The maintenance man came in to visit him. Then some of the nurses would drop by just to say hi. They had three courtyards that's right in the middle and you can go out there and they have all these flowers planted and a place where you can ride with the wheelchair and stuff. It was just beautiful. Every day I tried to get him into his wheelchair and we'd go and ride, which I think helped. The way the facility was laid out was great. The activities were the best part. They have them just about every single day. They'll have somebody come in to or play the piano. It was always something to get their minds off of their illness. The building was clean. They had everything organized. The physical therapy people were really good. They worked hard and tried their best.

If I could give this facility no stars I would. My mom was transferred there for rehab after a very extensive surgery. From day one my mom was left in wet diapers for hours. She expressed to them she couldn’t be left in a wet diaper and was continually ignored. She is now having to be transported back to Spartanburg regional because her surgery site is practically ruined. This is unacceptable.

My mother is at NHC Healthcare - Greenville for rehab. She was welcomed by each caregiver that came into her room and so they are very pleasant. The place is nice and clean. She felt very comfortable from the beginning. Each day, they're coming in to check on her and ask about her needs. She is very happy with the amount of rehab she's getting. She shares a room with another lady. She has access to a TV and there's plenty of space for a lift chair, if she wants to put one in. They take care of the laundry and they bring around snacks for them. They have a calendar posted of the different activities they have and what times they are. I know they do bingo and some other types of socials that includes ice cream and other activities. It's just a good fit for her.

My father is at Nhc Healthcare - Greenville. Everyone that I ever ran into inside the facility or in the community said it was a wonderful place and it has a lot to do with the atmosphere there. The food is OK. They have bingo, they paint sometimes, they do crafts, they have devotional meetings, and they have musicians that come in and perform for them, sing and play instruments. They have courtyards, a salon, a gym, and day rooms. My dad has been in rehab. The facility on the outside is immaculately maintained. It's just neat, the grounds, the building, and everything are so well maintained. The inside is a little beat up, but it is a wonderful place. The people are just wonderful.

My husband is living at NHC Healthcare. There are some younger people here who have disabilities, but there are more seniors. The building is all right. Sometimes the care is not the best, but that's just the way it goes. It also depends on whom you get as your caregiver. It does have a rehab component, but he isn't using that right now. They want everybody who is not really steady on their feet to stay in their wheelchair, so that's a bad thing for him. My husband has been there for almost a year now. Sometimes, his care is not the best. They're not always friendly or helpful, but sometimes they are. He is a diabetic, and he continues to get food that is not good for diabetics. Sometimes his blood pressure gets as high as 400 on the food that they give him. They have some activities, but he isn't always able to partake in them, and he has vision issues, too, so that's another problem.

My aunt was at NHC Healthcare. The appearance was really nice and they kept everything clean. The layout was family friendly in that it wasn't difficult to figure where the rooms were or where the social hall area was. There were nurses available around just about every turn, so you could find someone if you needed help. They kept the place clean, which was the big thing. The staff members were all super friendly and very helpful. We had some resistance on our aunt's end in the beginning, but she realized she needed their help for the rehabilitation. They were very helpful, and they were able to get her back on track. I didn't try any meals myself, but my aunt said that the food there was pretty good. She ate three solid meals a day. She is a strict vegetarian, so they had a lot of good options for her. They had a pretty good activities calendar. They had something going on almost every day. They had Valentines and New Year parties, they had arts and crafts sessions, and they had card games. They had them all on the calendar scheduled, so that there was at least one activity a day for the residents to look forward to. I didn't have much to compare it to, but I was very satisfied with them. My aunt is going to be having a hip replacement surgery here in a couple of weeks, so we talked to her about which rehab facility she wants to go to, and that's the one she wants to go back to. Also, Medicare and her insurance paid for it, so I don't have any input as far as the cost, but we got the care that she needed.

My mom was in Nhc Healthcare. It was excellent and they provided excellent care there. They also had excellent staff members, but they did not have an opening when we went last time. The rooms were neat and clean, and the food was excellent.

We had to put my father-in-law in NHC Healthcare. I found their care to be exceptional all the way around, from the rehab to the skilled nursing, and he is very happy. They serve every need that he has, they have been responsive to us, and they are just very good. I have no complaints. We made appointments and they have kept the appointments; some we had to change, and everybody was very amenable. He loves his nurses, the food is certainly good, and he is very close to us, which is very important. We can take him out where we want to and get him back whenever they tell us to. They are very easy to work with. He was in a semi-private first, and it was small, but everything was clean; it was just a lack of privacy. He is now in a private room, and we are getting ready to bring his own furniture in to make it homier. Basically, it has an adjustable bed, a night stand, and a closet. It is clean, just not very homey. Most of the people tend to be there for short-term, but my father-in-law is one who is going to stay. But for the short-term, it is certainly more than adequate.

I've visited many other facilities and this is top notch by comparison! Patients have lots of activities to pass the time and staff seem genuinely concerned for their patients.

I visited NHC Healthcare at Greenville for my mother. It was open and clean. The people were friendly and pretty much take care of all your needs. The food was OK. The rooms were of a good size, and the bathrooms were nice and clean. They had plenty of activities, like bingo and games, and people from churches who perform music. They enjoyed those a lot. The rehab section and the social worker were excellent.

My family member has been in NHC Greenville for a few years and we continue to be impressed with the level of care provided. The staff seem to genuinely care for the patients AND the family members. Thank you for all that you do!

I visited this center for review of rehab for a family member. It was very clean. The residents were involved in an activity in the dining room upon arrival. I didn't smell anything unpleasant. The therapy gym was large and patients were getting one to one treatment. The lady who showed me around was extremely nice and knowledgeable of services and general information of rehab processes. All staff was extremely friendly and I saw personal interactions between the staff and patients.

My mother is in NHC Healthcare – Greenville. She stayed in another branch when she came out of surgery sometime before. It's very convenient to me, and I can be there within 4 or 5 minutes if anything happens. One of the CNAs let her fall out of bed by leaving her unattended, so I'm in a major conversation with them right now on how that happened and how it cannot happen in the future. She is paralyzed on one side, and they left her laying on her side with no protection there to keep her from falling. The food is fine, and the rooms are fine but are pretty typical. They have activities posted on every wing, and they have a calendar that they put in every patient's room.

We had a very poor experience at NHC HealthCare Greenville. My mother had to go to a rehab center, and they had recommended this one; we just had a horrific experience with them. She fell within the first 12 hours of being there, and the nurse on duty could not tell me what time it had happened or where it had happened. He tried to put the blame on my mother's roommate. We did talk with the administrator about it, and the nurse promised to make changes, but that did not happen. My mother got a shower at 4 a.m. with ice cold water.

Dad went into NHC HealthCare for rehabilitation. He was 72 years old and a diabetic. They were supposed to check his feet and put medication on it. But they did not, and my dad ended up going into septic shock and got infection into the bone. His foot had gangrene, so he ended up having his foot amputated. And then he went into septic shock about a week after that, so they had to amputate his entire leg.

The staff was very friendly and nice to the family. They took an interest in what the family desired. Some of the aides were not the best. They dropped my grandma a few times. They also were upset with her at times and not very caring. The place was always clean and orderly.

NHC Greenville (Greer) appears just like any other skilled nursing facility when you walk in the door. The staff that greets you is friendly and helpful enough. There do appear to be adequate security doors in place for patients who may be prone to wander. The facility seems rather cold, impersonal, and darkly decorated. One of the first rooms you see when entering is the dining room, and the food appears and smells much less than desirable. As with most nursing homes there is very much the smell of diapers in the hallway. The nursing staff seems a bit scraggly and unprofessional. Each name tag either identified the nursing staff as an LPN or CNA, no RN's. Some of the staff seemed to be genuinely interested and concerned for the patients while others did not. The therapy room staff does appear professional, concerned for the patents, and competent. There is a big difference in attention and resources for the medicare wing verses the other 3 payment source wings. There seem to be a few activities a day for patients, but most residents were simply laying in bed watching tv. Overall this facility is not impressive, but I have also seen worse. In looking for a place for a loved one to receive skilled nursing care, the location of this facility is wonderful for frequent visits and easy access to most of town. You do have to remember that this is a skilled nursing facility and the patients there require such care that it isn't going to feel the same as an assisted living or other lesser level of care where the patients are more independent, aware, mobile, etc.
