Adam at the Gardens was so generous with his time in giving us a tour of the community and spending extended time answering our questions. It was obvious that he’s completely invested in the awareness of the needs of the residents. His knowledge of what is happening in the elderly body and mind is something that takes a purposeful intention of heart to learn and care about. Many of the staff have been with the community for years, some have been there for decades! It’s a very calm, welcoming, well lit, beautiful environment. The rooms are well appointed for the needs of those who are ready to downsize and enjoy their later years in comfort without all the extra space that requires so much upkeep. We observed numerous residents genuinely enjoying where they live and having a camaraderie with the staff and with one another. We’ve toured at least 15 communities, and you can’t fake this kind of community. It gave us hope that there really are AL communities out there that have this kind of environment for the elderly in their twilight years. It was a pleasure to visit The Gardens.

I recently moved my 76-yo Mom with dementia into the Lantana neighborhood and so far it has been a fantastic experience for both she and I! Her apartment is perfectly sized for her needs and very inviting. She has been very comfortable from Day 1 and seems to be thriving with the various activity offerings each day! Her neighbors are such a funny group and I love to see them all interacting - it’s such an intimate group, which is SO good for her! Staff are definitely the best part; I was so nervous about Mom coming off of 24/7 home care, but this staff is so capable and professional - they KNOW what they are doing, they communicate effectively, no drama, not too much or too little of anything - I am very thankful for their patience and kindness!

The staff at The Gardens at Eastside is wonderful! Each division is committed to the care of the residents. The first day my Mother and I toured the facility we met the Community Sales Director who set the welcoming and friendly tone that helped us know we had found the right assisted living facility! The nursing staff is all very knowledgeable about my Mother’s health, medications, and physical therapy needs. The dining/food service staff is attentive and make the residents’ nutrition and enjoyment of their meals a priority. The engagement staff offer a wide variety of activities each day to enrich the residents’ lives, encourage fun and a sense of community, and promote lifelong learning. The maintenance staff is available and quickly respond to requests; from hanging a picture, mounting a television, tightening a window blind, to securely attaching an adjustable, contoured bed rail. The executive/management staff is an integral part of The Gardens at Eastside community and are always available to residents, staff, and families. Each resident and family member is addressed by name and often asked how things are going and are encouraged to bring any issues of concern to their attention. My Mother, my family, our relatives, friends, and I are very pleased with The Gardens at Eastside and highly recommend this facility to seniors who are looking for, not only assisted living, but a welcoming and responsive community.

My mother is at The Gardens at Eastside. She is in the Alzheimer's unit or memory care unit. It's a beautiful place. They keep it very updated and beautiful for the residents. The staff is excellent. The food is superb; they do a great job with that. There's something every day in the area that my mom is in now. They have an activity person for that area, and they exercise with them. They have a movie day inside the facility. They have beautiful gardens they take them out in to enjoy being outside. They do all kinds of things with them. I really like the setup of her room. It's very close to the common area, very close to the dining area, and close to where the nurses or the CNAs are. It's very good sized. She had a full-sized bed in there at one point in time, and it was plenty of room. We have downsized that a little bit. She has a bathroom right in her room with everything she needs. There's plenty of closet space. I couldn't be more pleased. It really is like Southern living in there. It's beautiful and very updated.

When it was clear that we would not be able to keep my Mom at home because of her dementia, we looked at several memory care facilities in Greenville. There are several that would have been quite suitable, but the thing that drew us to The Gardens at Eastside was the longevity of the staff — very low turnover, especially among the management staff. The facility was clean and up-to-date. There was not the "nursing home odor". The whole staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were small (not unlike other facilities), but not cramped and they were clean. During the 2 years that Mom lived there, the staff demonstrated love and caring in tangible ways. During the COVID-19 lockdowns (DHEC guidelines, not facility guidelines), the staff grieved with us over our inability to have face-to-face, hand-holding visits and did everything they could to keep the residents healthy and to help us stay in touch — window visits, FaceTime, courtyard visits. Rather than let the residents sit around and just wither away during the pandemic, they hired additional activity staff in order to provide more activities for the residents. The last time I visited Mom just before she passed away, I was in the hallway while 2 of the staff got her cleaned and ready to see me. I could hear them and they talked so soothingly and lovingly to Mom. They were not "clinical" or unemotional, they truly cared. Residential care like this is not cheap at any facility, but I and my siblings felt like It was worth it (Mom did have long-term care insurance that helped with the cost). I would recommend The Gardens at Eastside to anyone needing assisted living or memory care.

My mother is a resident of The Gardens and I have been so pleased with the facility and the care she receives. Last year during the pandemic when the state locked down all facilities The Gardens always provided a way for us to visit with Mama - FaceTime calls or window visits. They definitely went the extra mile for their residents and families. The staff is very caring and treats Mama with love and respect. It is easy to see that they truly care for all the residents. They also know me by name and will share information as needed. The Gardens provides various activities each day for the residents. They even provide an app for mobile devices so that the family can know which activities their loved one participated in. I cannot say enough good things about The Gardens. I know that my mother is well taken care of and loved.

The staff at The Gardens at Eastside are exceptional. They take an interest in resident and try to make them feel welcomed, involved and well cared for. We are so happy that our mother is at The Gardens knowing that she is being cared for in our absence. The staff is also very kind and welcoming to family members when they visit.

My father was ready to move to an assisted living center in Greenville and my sister and I visited several facilities. We were greeted warmly (did not have an appointment ) and were very impressed with the cleanliness, staff and the facility felt very much like a "home".. We spoke with Adam who was very professional and competent. My father required more care than the Gardens could provide, and both Adam and Debbie were most helpful. I have a friend who visits residents there frequently and she has many positive comments about the community. It appears that there is a full schedule of events and activities for the residents to enjoy.

I am a friend of a family who has their elderly mother in this facility. The staff is not the best, the management is a joke and the care the day shift gives their residents is also a joke. There are two Spanish ladies who are not very helpful. Always sitting on their phone while everyone else is running around. Would definitely not recommend this place to any family looking to place their loved ones in a facility.

The Gardens was more luxurious and one of the newer ones here but expensive. Their one-bedroom was $4,600 or $4,700 on the second floor. If you wanted one on the first floor, it was $4,900. I didn't think their studio was big enough. I saw the dining room. They had haircut and laundry services.

I like The Gardens at Eastside because the staff has a very caring attitude. There are beautiful surroundings and very nice rooms. They have two or three activity directors who, every day, have four to five activities available for their residents. They also have field trips, movies, bingo, music, and happy hours. They have a chaplain on-site and sing church and prayer songs.

The Gardens at Eastside is an outstanding facility. This is the one my wife has chosen for her mother. We visited the place for two hours. They have spacious hallways. The room we saw was very spacious, and the staff was outstanding.

We chose the Gardens for my mother because it was clean, the people were very conscientious about how they take care of their residents, and they follow-up with the family about any problems. The rooms are spacious and very nice. They have singing and bingo, and they have some parties. They have activities every day for the residents. I have eaten there, and the food was excellent.

Everything was wonderful at The Gardens at Eastside. We enjoyed the visit; everything went beautifully. Everything was very nice. It's just that I'm not ready for anything like that yet. I don’t remember what the price was exactly, but I remember I thought they were all very high and really out of my budget to tell the truth, so I would have to have some financial assistance to do that sort of thing. It was a lovely place. I was impressed very much. I’m very athletic, so I would like to be where I have a swimming pool and where I have all kinds of gym and fitness equipment to try, but I remember they do not have all those facilities there. But you get to eat there, and they have people that play checkers and bridge, and they did things like that. It’s a very clean place.

The Gardens At Eastside services all types of people. They have several diferent areas, they're secure and the staff is wonderful. My mothers room is beautiful. It's very pretty and they have several dining areas that were close to people's rooms. They have entertainment, therapy and exercise classes. They also have a beauty salon and they do fieldtrips. They have a car and a bus that takes people to appointments. It is very close to establishments.

The Gardens was nice. It was like a beautiful country club. They had everything. They were elaborate, new and attractive. They really cater to the high-end clientele. However, it was out of my price range. They were too expensive for me.

We placed my mother at The Gardens at Eastside and she's happy there. The staff was very friendly. The dining area was spacious enough and we had several meals there since she moved in and the food was very good. Her room was spacious enough. They had three different areas that she could go outside. There's the front porch with rocking chair. Then there's a floral garden behind the building and they had a third area for their memory care. They had a bridge club and they go on weekly outings. They had church service there every Sunday morning and they also play bingo. They had met our expectations and exceeded them in every category.
