What's nice about The Manor is they offer different stages, from independent living, to assisted living, to skilled nursing. We have already placed my mother there. It was remodeled two years ago, so there's a double window and a single window in the smallest units, so it's light and airy. The staff has a good reputation and they're excellent.

The Manor was beautiful, and they had a gazebo. I remember seeing a movie room or activity room. I remember that the chapel was nice. There's assisted living there also. They had individual appartments or houses that were set off from the main building. The staff always make a good impression and their grounds and landscaping were nice.

Methodist Manor was a nice facility. It offered end-to-end care including skilled nursing. The rooms were a decent size. Their assisted living was a brand-new wing. They had a gym, an activity room, dining rooms, and a bistro if you don't want a full meal. It was top-notch.

My mother had been in United Methodist Manor as an independent resident for many years, and when she needed extra care, they came through for us. They've been excellent, and there are no problems. It is well decorated and well maintained. She loves the food. There is something going on just about all the time. The biggest reason we chose them is the support and the attitude of the professional staff there.

Methodist is a continuum care which is what we needed or wanted -- from independent living all the way through nursing home. We have a very small kitchen, a living room, bathroom, and a bedroom. My husband is currently in the assisted living part as he needed more care when he was out from the hospital. Eventually, he will come back to me and that’s the beauty of living in a place like this. The staff is excellent. We have our own chef here and we have excellent and well-prepared meals. We have a lot of different card groups and Bingo twice a week. We do wine and cheese tastings monthly. They like people to go to the noon meal for socialization, but you can go to any meal you want -- you get one meal a day. We have excellent servers and we order off a menu. We have 15 different entrees to choose from. They cleaned the apartment weekly, stripped the bed, made the bed, and washed the sheets. They take us to all doctor appointments, shopping, and they take us to the symphony. I think if they would have a swimming pool here for exercise that would help a lot of people, but I would absolutely recommend the community.

My sister is at Methodist Manor and it was our choice because it is a continuing care. My sister likes it there and she said it's the place she wants to be. Also, it is close to me. She has an apartment and the people there are wonderful. If she's not feeling well, all she needs to do is push a button. They immediately come to her room and they take care of her. She gets her one meal a day and if one day she doesn't get it, she'll get a rain check for her to use it anytime she wants to use it. Their food is good. They have all kinds of activities. They have bingo, cards and movies. They take them out for shopping and they go to the doctor's offices. I definitely recommend them to others.

We chose this facility after visiting 3 others. I loved the way that this place was just like they were at home, but with help just around the corner. the have a library, a church on grounds. when it is time to eat they are served the food as if they were at a restaurant. they are allowed to choose the meal that they want. they even had it for those who do drink where the could get a glass of wine, pending medical condition was allowed. This is a very nice clean very well kept facility. The facility was not over crowded and understaffed. I also like the fact that they offered to levels off assisted living level one is an apartment complex for those residents who need manual care the second was assisted living 2 which was for a little more care requement and then they also had a unit for their nursing home for when the resident need more advance care.
