We chose Foothills Retirement Community for my father because they have assisted living, memory care, rehab, and skilled nursing all in the same grounds. He's in memory care now and if he has a medical issue, they have a nurse practitioner on the property that can take a look at him, or he can go straight into their rehab or skilled nursing facility if needed. They have continuity of care. The staff is excellent. They've got really good food. The rooms are a little small, but it can accommodate everything he has. Everything else is very good. They take them out a couple times a week and have music come in. They're always busy.

I toured Foothills Retirement Community. They're a very nice place, at the top of the line, with many activities. It's more like a hotel. They're very nice. I only dealt with one person. He was very nice, very helpful, and toured the whole area. He just answered all my questions. They have apartments and they have one-bedroom facilities. They have a lot, depending on how much you want to pay, and what your needs are. If you need more care, they probably have you in a one bedroom with a bath included. They have everything like game rooms and an outside courtyard area with a fireplace. It's very nice.

The appearance of Foothills Retirement Community was beautiful. They have constructed a beautiful chapel as part of the facility, they have a pastor onsite for spiritual needs, and the rest of the facilities seem to be well laid out. They have a centrally located administration with several patio homes around the perimeter for the independent living. We met several residents and they all seemed happy and enjoying their time there. We visited the dining facility also; they gave us a copy of the menu. The facility seems to be run very well. Some of the other amenities that we found attractive were the physical therapy, the training rooms, and the swimming pool. The person who accommodated me there was Cathy, and she was awesome, very friendly, very open to answering our questions, and meeting our family's needs. She explained the options for opportunities in the future when the time is right. My wife and I both liked this place very much, and Cathy was topnotch. We talked with the food preparation manager, she was a retired restaurateur, and she was very competent in that position. It's located in a wildlife sanctuary, so it's surrounded by beautiful grounds, but it wasn't a gated community.

The Foothills Presbyterian Community was a first-rate community. The apartments were small, but everything was top notch. They had independent homes on-site also. The staff was very accommodating.

I visited Foothills Presbyterian, and I just absolutely loved it. I liked the location. It was in a small town with not a lot of traffic. It was out in the country, and I liked the serenity. They redo the apartments every time someone moves out. They looked up-to-date. They looked very clean and nice. The people seemed very happy, and the staff seemed very friendly. They did everything to my satisfaction. I had lunch, and the food was very good. I was pleased with their dining arrangement; they had a la carte rather than paying for meals you were not eating. Once a month, they had a fancy meal, like lobster, and the table had white tablecloths and candles. They spent time with me and had a resident open her home to show me. I was looking at villas rather than in-house, and I loved them because they had a carport right out the door. They were beautifully landscaped, and it was just I was looking for. They had activities. They had water aerobics groups. They had an exercise room. They also had the other amenities there. So, it was a very good experience.

Presbyterian Home has five facilities in South Carolina. My mom was in rehab at their facility in Foothills. The rehab department was very good. Though, on the skilled care site, in my opinion, they needed additional staff there. Mom didn't participate in their activities because she was there for rehab. However, they did have numerous of stuff to do both inside and outside the facility. In general, we really like the place. Regarding recommending it, it would depend on the level of care that the person would need. I would recommend though that people take a look at it.

Foothills Retirement Community was my first choice if I would move my dad. It was a complete facility. I tried their food and it was delicious. With regards to the room, you could choose the one you wanted.
