I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father is at Garden House. Has been there since 2015. This place is A++++++++all the way. The rooms are spacious and I can't say enough about the staff. They are so caring, friendly and I always walk through the front door to smiles from all. They have activities all through the day. Absolutely the best community in Anderson SC.

I visited this facility

Garden House of Anderson was really good, but they were pricier than the others places. The staff was really nice and went out of their way. The place was really clean and roomy. It's overall a nice place. They had a bunch of different activities for the residents. I was impressed by the food. Meals were included, they have a chapel, and a van to take them out to different places. They also play bingo.

The Garden House is very nicely appointed. They have nice activities for the residents. It is well-kept, and I think they like their meals. The dining area is nice, and they have a breakfast area as well. The actual apartment that my parents are in is nicely maintained. For my parents, they have the support on-site that they need or people who are educated on what is necessary to supervise somebody who has progressing Alzheimer’s. They haven’t been there that long, but it’s been a good first impression. They just moved in a month ago.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother moved in at Garden House a couple of months ago. I am really comfortable with the staff. I like the size of it because it is not an extremely large facility. They have a small memory care section, so I thought it was manageable. Also it is half mile from my house. They have suite with a room and bath together. We were able to move her things over there. It just works for her. The size is decent; it is not huge, but it is not too large. They do an awful lot of activities. They do outings, and they go to restaurants as a group. They do little tours around town. They have parties and all sorts of musical groups. They play games and bingo a lot. They do coloring and different arts and crafts projects. They have events and church groups.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We were very impressed with the entire staff of the Garden House and the facility itself. It had a very friendly and homey environment. The living area was bright, cheery, and home-like; it was just very, very nice. There were three or four different sized rooms, all of them had kitchen areas, but some had living areas and bedrooms. The director gave us a tour of the facility; she answered all of our questions, and was absolutely delightful in communicating with me about the process of getting my aunt housed there. She even sent me an email with instructions on what we would possibly need as far as sheets, towels, and bathroom necessities, before my aunt moved in.

The facility was in great condition and the staff was very friendly. My grandfather suffered from alzheimer's disease and the staff was very competant in addressing his individual needs. They have a great program set up for residents who suffer from memory loss disorders. The staff always did a great job at keeping us informed about his condition. After he passed away they did everything they could to help us through the grieving process and staff members even personally reached out to my grandmother to make sure she had everything she needed.
