My dad has been here since 2017 and I am so very happy with the care he has received there. The staff is so very compassionate and helpful and do everything they can to keep him happy! Highly recommend.

The place has gone down hill drastically since the county sold it It turned from a loving compassionate facility that cared about its staff and residents. Now its minimally staffed and some times residents get forgotten at meal time. Ive had loved ones in there off and on over 20 yrs ago. The old admin staff really cared about staff and residents. They were responsible financially to the facility, once they retired the subsequent adminstration got sloppy, thats why they were sold. Its a horrible place now and would not put anyone there. There are only a handful of the staff left from when the place was run well. Cant keep people now. Very sad. Their past alzheimers unit director and activities director were top notch

My mother is in Crawford County Care Center. You can visit in the foyer but you can't go to the room because of COVID, but they're getting better. You don't have to take a test now like when she first went in, so in that regard it's better. The facility is good, the people there seem friendly and helpful, and my mother is getting better about relaxing there now. It's a very nice facility, they've got outdoor sitting areas, they've got a library, and they have a store there where you can buy from your account. They have a lot of things to do there, they have exercises, they have live music in the evenings sometimes; it seems like there's quite a bit to do for her. I looked at a lot of places online, but this one was available, and we had to find one in a hurry; but so far, it has worked out good.

really a fabulous facility. Staff care and put their whole heart into their job. Innovative activities that keep our residents busy and feeling in touch with their community as well as improve quality of life. Beautiful facility. Best care in the area...hands down. They are on the cutting edge of all the modern changes in nursing home care. They definitely put the "home" in nursing home care...and the "Care " part too. Fabulous therapy team too.

Crawford County Care Center would allow residents to have cats and dogs. They have special dining area and an Alzheimer's unit. When I read the information on the packet, it said that you can request special diets. So that's one thing that caught my attention. There is no doctor on site but doctors do go there to take care of the patients.

Dorothy may have said, "There's no place like home", but in this case I beg to differ! When my brothers and I were faced with the decision as to where our mother, who has Alzheimer's Disease, would be best cared for, we chose the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown, PA. The Center is located in a beautiful rural setting and has lovely surroundings in which to walk (or wheel) mom on nice days. There are warmly lit and comfortable inside nooks that beacon when inside visits are more desirable. The Center is clean and friendly with staff who greet every resident and every visitor by name and with genuine smiles. From housekeepers to cooks to maintainence folks to nurses and aides, it's patently obviouse that every single one of them love their jobs - and love their people! Activities are numerous and all are invited to join. Local talent volunteers to entertain regularly, birthday celebrations with cake and ice cream are held every month, and holidays find the Center filled with music and lovely decorations. Meals are prepared tailored to each individual's preferences and are served family style in bright, cheerful dining rooms. Oh, and by the way, the food is wonderful! The most important aspect of Crawford County Care Center is my family's feeling of confidence in our decision to place our mom there. Staff never hesitate to call if a need arises; our family feels welcome when we visit, and when we are called away, we are confident that mom is getting the best love she can get in our absence. And here's my highest recommendation: If ever I need to be placed, the Crawford County Care Center will be my first choice!
