Londonderry is an excellent facility. They have suite houses with individual rooms where you can come together as a family to have dinner. That's very nice, and I liked that idea a lot. They have a lot of activities, yoga classes, concerts, and buses that take you grocery shopping for people that no longer drive. I've had no problem going there. The houses were nice and huge, bigger than most houses, and had sunrooms and full basements. I have a friend who lives in an apartment in a building, the rooms were smaller, but they're fine, and two new buildings have gone up, which were also nice.

I toured Londonderry Village. It was very large and very friendly. However, the responses to our calls were slightly delayed. I had to be a little bit more persistent with them than I did with the other place. The apartments were very nice and very clean. They're not as new compared to the other place. The staff menber who gave the tour was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I didn't try food, but I checked the dining area. It was above average. It was satisfactory.

We chose Londonderry Village (Lebanon Valley Brethren Home). We like it very much because it has everything that I would want in a care facility. I have people from church who live there who speak very highly of everybody. They have apartments, cottages, and duplexes. They're the only facility in Pennsylvania that has what they call a Green House for Alzheimer's patients. They have everything going on all the time and have everything you'd need, like a bank, thrift stores, and little grocery stores. You don't really have to leave. They take you on trips, luncheons, or wherever you have to go. They have a restaurant there and facilities for visiting guests to stay at a separate apartment. Another thing is they'd never put out a resident so if you run out of money; they'd take care of you.

Mom has been in the independent living part of Lebanon Valley Brethren Home for 15 years and will be moving soon to the assisted living section. It is a very good place. Mom is the second generation in her family to stay there. It's been great. It is very clean and extremely well maintained. They have been very responsive, and we don't have any complaints at all. They just built new apartments that are really magnificent and beautiful.

People that I had known had good care at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. As far as I observed the few times I was there, the people seemed happy with the care. The rooms were nice and adequate. There were activities available.

We visited Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. We liked it very much. It was a great facility. It had a lot of things there that you needed would not have to go out like post office, a little store and hair dresser. Everything was in the same complex. It was very nice. They were building a new building; which was more of a high-rise apartment. They were very nice, and very luxurious. If you got in early enough, you could actually pick what you wanted like for your kitchen counter, and things like that. We talked to a woman. She was very pleasant, very helpful, very patient with us, and answered all our questions. They had a swimming pool. They do all kinds of water exercises, and aerobics. They had vans that would take you places. They had bingo, evening, and day activities for the residents.

Brethren Home is good. It's connected to the Brethren Church. They have a lot of activities and accessibility to Hershey cultural activities, too. They have a lot of bus trips, and they bring conferences in. They don't require a large down payment to get in. You can rent it just like any rental, 2 or 3 months. They have cottages as well as apartments. They look nice, and some are a little cramped. In independent living, they seemed to be very active, but when I went to visit the long-term facility, I had a strong odor of urine in the place, and that's what turned me off. Brethren would have been convenient for me because I have a grandson that lives right outside the campus. If I had to go into the long-term facility, I don't think the care is as good as I would get in another place.

I visited Lebanon Valley Brethren Home last fall. They have different levels of care in that place. In one side, you could live by yourself, and if you get sick you can move to the other side. If you need a nurse, they have that as well. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They took time to show us around and answered all our questions. We had the whole hour with them to talk. They have multiple units. They have an apartment, a cottage and a one- or two-bedroom. They let us see the cottage and two different apartments. There's also a cafeteria, pharmacy, and gymnasium in that place.

The Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra, PA is a great facility. Growing up, my great-grandmother lived there, and two years ago my grandparents decided to live there. My grandparents made this choice because of the excellent treatment my great-grandmother received. My grandparents are happier than they have been in a long time. Lebanon Valley Brethren Home gives the the right mix of care and independence they need. They're able to live their lives normally and they have the freedom to do what they live, but they also have the added protection of having incredibly skilled doctors, nurses, and caretakers just a call away. The Lebanon Valley Brethren Home has state of the art facilities and offers a variety of activities for it's residents. Wether it's therapeutic yoga or a relaxing day at the spa the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home strives to make sure that all of it's residents are happy and taken care of. There isn't any other place I would want my grandparents to be, and I sleep a little better knowing they're being given the quality of care they deserve.

The outside facilities are well kept. The nursing home is situated in open green fields surrounded by farm country. The nursing home has facilities for residents with little assistance to residents that need intensive care. The inside facilities are relative clean and organized. There are outdoor sitting areas surrounded by well-groomed gardens that offer lots of sunlight, and indoor sitting areas with plenty of couches and tables for socializing. The facilities are expensive, in some cases over $300 a day. But one nice feature about the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home is their financial status policy. If a resident runs out of money to pay for their rent, they will not be evicted. There is a benevolent care fund available for this purpose. Another nice feature is that they allow pets, which makes my friend happy. The staff is overall friendly and professional. Occasionally I have run in with a nurse having a bad day, but I have never seen any resident or patient mistreated.
