My wife is getting physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy at Complete Care at Lehigh. I think the staff are fairly attentive. 80% of the folks are good, but then you're always going to have some folks who are not responsive. My wife's room is small and dated. The facility is very clean. I have tried their food. I would say that it's not as fresh as it could be. For example, all their vegetables and fruits are from cans versus other options. There's not a lot of extracurricular activities.

I wish I could actually evaluate and rate the food, staff, facilities, value and activities. Fact is they took in my loved one late afternoon(from ER) to send him right back the very next morning to the ER because he has dementia. News flash, that's why he got there...he's got dementia, help him. Don't cast away patients because you actually have to work and do your job. The fact that we got a call from the facility stating they"asked him" what he wanted to do and told us on the phone he is already going back to the hospital without recourse. It gets better...then they told us he almost hurt one of their workers. How can you complain to the family of a loved one who isn't in their right frame of mind, vile, disgusting. This "resident/patient" was a decorated veteran and deserves much better than the hand he is being dealt. Readers of this honest review should be disgusted with the actions of this so called "care" facility. Come here if you are pleasantly demented but no naughty stuff, or you're outta here, pronto! Please don't reply that we need to talk about our experience, that time has come and gone. You made this bed(review), now have a good sleep, my loved one couldn't.

My wife is now at Complete Care at Lehigh. They are very good out there. I have no complaints. The only thing is that I have to travel a bit little distance to see her every day. I'm hoping to maybe move her closer to where we live. As far as the place is concerned, it's very good. I had no trouble with anyone out there. My wife has been there for rehab. The rehab was done, and they recommended long term nursing, which I could see because she needs really extra care. Everybody I deal with out there with activities, with nursing, and with keeping the place clean, I give them a 5. They do the best they can considering you're dealing with patients that are there to stay forever. Everybody I deal with has gone the extra mile. As far as I can see, the food all looks good. I think the facility is laid out really well. They have people that have activities every day. At 2:00 to 3:00, there are activities. There are activities in the morning. My wife can't really participate. She's so far gone, and she doesn't know how to do anything anymore. They address the situation and still take her into a room. She just sits there and watches or whatever. They bring in entertainment for the patients a couple of times. They do bingo. They do word games, and they do crafts. There's something every day except for the weekend. They really go all out to try to get the patients involved. Long-term nursing is very expensive. They're in range with just about everybody else, as far as costs are concerned.

I would give this facility less than one star if it were an option. Please do not send your loved one here. They are only for profit, and the corporate entity makes promises that I have experienced are not fulfilled at the care level. They seem to fly by the seat of their pants with the care they provide, reactionary rather than proactive. If your family member has a need that requires more than general care, run as fast as you can from this place and/or it's sister facility. The lack of oversight of care I believe led to immense suffering for my mother and I also truly believe that it definitely was a contributing factor in her decline and death. The hands on staff do not really have any control. I believe they just follow orders and try to do their best. I don't fault them. I believe the hands on staff truly cared although there was a serious shortage of staff and no real continuity either. I fault the oversight of care. And, If you want to try to be involved in your loved one's care, good luck. I only wanted what was best for my mom and tried to be involved at the oversight of care level, and found that trying to make sure that happened was like being on a treadmill. I got nowhere despite my best efforts. Also I was very disturbed to see that Covid19 precautions were not taken (staff had no protective gear when dealing with patients), and covid spread through this facility through this lack of precaution

This place is obviously a for profit facility, the building is dark and outdated with not even space to move in the rooms. The room was so depressing I felt horrible leaving him there. The care is lacking my Grandfather was there last year for a week of rehab and I went every day. I would find the same drink i left him with one day still on table the next and his urinal would be full. The social worker and few other staff seemed pleasant but they were obviously were understaffed. I would urge you to never leave a loved one there.

DO NOT EVER take a relative to Genesis Lehigh Center for rehab. My dad was released from the hospital last evening. My brother and I transported him via car to the rehab. I went in to let them know he was here and the receptionist says "Ok he is in room 101A." "Um Ma'am I have never been here where is that and shouldn't someone come with me? Also he needs a wheel chair to get inside/to his room". Receptionist ignores those questions and tells me we have a family plan of care meeting on Wed at 2pm and we will need to be there. "Uh ok, but I still need a wheel chair and someone to help." Receptionist looking down at her papers on her desk.. "Room is through those doors on the right". SO at that point I think whatever we will just get him in ourselves. My brother and I get him out of the car, into the room and he sits on the bed. We wait and we wait and we wait for an HOUR and not one person comes in. When we walked into the hall initially we noticed 6 or so call lights on outside the doors. An hour later they were still on. By now we were getting really pissed off and my dad looks at us and says take me home so we did. Loaded him back into the car and brought him home. He is doing incredibly well. Up walking around on his own (we are right with him), and doing everything plus more than we could hope for. As we were leaving we did finally have someone come to the door and try to get us to stay/"apologize". However that is not the standard of care we want for our family member.

My father was a patient here for short term rehab. They sat him in a wheelchair from AM to PM except when he went to rehab M-F for 1 hour. There is not a comfortable chair or recliner in room for patients. He was told when he asked for pain meds his nurse just went to lunch it would be 30 min. He had a partial hip replacement for a fractured hip. The day before he was to come an aide dislocated his hip requiring 2 more hospitalizations and another surgery. Do not send your dog here

My father was sent there for rehab from a broken hip. The first thing they did was put him in a diaper he never wore those before also made it to the bathroom. The reason for that was because the staff never answered the call bells so he had accidents all the time (20 mins waiting for staff). If they got him up and out of bed before 11 they sat him in a wheelchair all day with his legs down so his legs blow up. The one day he asked for pain meds and was told he had to wait 30 mins because his nurse went to lunch. The wheeled him back and forth to the bathroom and dining hall, he was there to walk. The day before he was discharged the aide popped his hip out in the morning. She put him back in bed and never told anyone. That night someone else realized something was wrong and he was sent out to the hosiptal at 7pm. Now he has a huge financial expensive because of them. I wouldn't send my worst emeny here

They have no staff! My mother had to wait 1 hour to be taken to the bathroom! They don’t answer the call bells! My mother got a pressure ulcer and they documented it as an abrasion! Not a safe place for the elderly! No activities and the food is horrible! Would not recommend this place to anyone! Stay away if you love your family member!

My dad was at Lehigh Center. What impressed me with this facility were the nurses and the staff. They really took care of him. They spent more time with him than anybody else. We're really impressed. My dad was in a nursing room, and basically, it was a two room with a curtain in the middle. He had a nice view of the grounds, which were quite beautiful. There was a lot of farmland and trees. The food was average. It was not good, and it was not great. My dad couldn't eat from the day he got in there because his throat started closing up, but they had everything you could possibly ask for. However, they could do something with the cosmetics of the place, maybe a new rug or something like that.

I am presently at the Lehigh Center. I am in a nursing home/rehabilitation center. It's a 2-floor facility. There are numerous double bedrooms and there are a couple of private rooms. Excellent staff. The CNAs usually have about six to eight rooms so they usually have 12 to 16 patients during their shift. They have speech therapy. They have physical therapy and they also have occupational therapy here. They try and cater the meals to everyone's liking. I'd say the food is very good. The best meal is breakfast but the other meals are good as well. They keep on top of everything making sure the floors are mopped and table cloths are changed after every meal. They make sure your beds are made every day and changed every couple of days.

My father was in Lehigh Center which in the beginning they seemed fairly good and homey, but then it came to a point that the care he was getting did not meet our expectations. The nursing staff was constantly changing and a lot of times they did not have enough staff. In my father's room, they put in a carpet which gave my dad difficulty moving because he was in the wheelchair.
