My sister and I toured 7 facilities in the area. Heritage Springs was our number one choice in all categories. Very clean, smells clean, food is great according to our grandma, staff is patient and very sweet. Director is helpful and accommodating. Great activities and services. Price is great too. Rooms are a very nice size. Dining area is beautiful, actually the entire facility is beautiful.

I toured Heritage Springs Memory Care for my mom. I was quite taken aback by that one. I don't have anything good to say about it because as soon as you walk in, you smell urine. It was horrible. And I think those people are in there so much that they don't smell it anymore. But it was horrible, and I couldn't wait to get out of there. My mom would have been scared to death to be there. There's no way I would put anybody in there and they wanted more money than the other place I saw. And they certainly aren't worth it. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. The rooms were nice but very basic. It has a twin bed, a dresser, and a chair. It had a big window where you could see outside, and it was nice. The residents that I saw were in a room. And they were kind of out of it. They have a pretty nice size building. They have security in all the rooms everywhere, so nobody can get out. It seems like security is their primary concern. They want to make sure they take care of the residents there. I was not impressed at all with that facility, nor would I advise anyone to go to that facility. They need to do a lot of work there especially when people go in, they should not be smelling pee. That was disgusting. The person who gave me the tour was very nice. She's had a lot of knowledge.

My husband is in Heritage Spring at Lewisburg. So far, he is doing very well. I also had him in there back in the end of September for two weeks, and I wish we had sent him there from the beginning, but there was nothing available at that time. He's getting very good care there. I only know what I'm told about the food, that he is eating now because he wasn't eating in the beginning. He wasn't even eating when he was in the hospital. The staff is excellent and very good. The facility is beautiful and very, very nice. I only saw the outside of it, and it's spotless and clean. The people that are working there are very clean and very helpful. I think they have an activity director, and she's very, very nice. The residents do puzzles and baking, but he is just starting to get involved in that, and they're really trying to get him involved. It's kind of expensive, but right now, he's in the best place that we could put him. It's kind of pricy, but it's not overly priced. I would highly recommend this community.

I had my mother in a different memory care facility for the last 2 1/2 years where she had a series of falls and fractures. After surgery at 94 years of age, sometime in a skilled nursing facility, physical therapy, I have moved her into this facility and I am so happy with the staffing, the cleanliness of the facility, the food and her accommodations .
