My mom moved into Hickory House Nursing Home. She's been there for a few days now. The staff is very helpful and considerate. The place is very nice. I got one picture of my mom outside their beautiful garden. It's all on one floor. The dining room that I saw looked like a restaurant.

My husband is in the ER because of a horrible UTI that was completely avoidable. And they had the audacity to lie to my face about the results as the lab tests clearly showed a "too-high to count"white blood cell count. Rehab Good - NURSING CARE - BEWARE!

My husband is at Hickory House Nursing Home. They are a very caring facility, and they are in constant contact with the family. They answer all questions, no matter how sound they may seem to us, as opposed to what is really good medically. They keep us updated all the time; we get a conference call once a week, and we get called almost every single day. They are phenomenal and are just great people. It is a cleanly kept facility, and it is wonderful. My husband has not gotten anything but the best of care. He is on a special diet, and that is not something that everybody will be able to accommodate because he has COVID, but he can eat. He is also limited as a diabetic. But I think they are doing the absolute best they can do for him.

My dad was in Hickory House for a month. They did a good job with the rehab. My dad was there for the physical therapy and that worked out well for him. He was making good progress. The staff was good. The dining area was good and their food was a little better than the other place. The cost was covered under my health insurance, so that was very good. It was 100% covered, and we were very happy with that.

Hickory House was fine. Both of my parents were there for a short period of time. Mom was in there for rehab after a cardiac arrest and she liked it, but Dad didn't. I liked the location, and it seemed to be clean and pleasant without any smells. They had a bird cage. My parents liked the food.

Both my parents were in Hickory House. It was OK, and it was just a normal nursing home. My mom said the staff was great, and my dad said he had to wait for a long time for the bell to be answered. The food was fine, and they were in a semi-private room. Most of the time it was clean, but I had to call housekeeping a couple times. It was in a good location. They can improve on communication because there seems to be a lack of that.

I had a family member at this facility for rehabilitation. The physical therapy department does their job well. The nursing department is terrible at dispensing medication in a timely manner. This department appears to be understaffed or poorly managed and they do not act like they care. The rooms are not kept very clean. I found a pill on the floor and mask for nebulizer was never cleaned or replaced until I complained. It layed unprotected on a wooden stand. Unless you can advocate for the patient, in my opinion think twice before using this facility.

I have had several family members in Hickory House in the past but the care has definitely gone downhill. I'm not sure if there understaffed or it's poor leadership but patients are waiting far too long for care.
