MEMORY CARE
Nowhere is Tapestrys Person-Centered Care philosophy more evident than in our memory care program. We respect that each resident is an individual with a rich life and a unique personality. We dont try to fit the resident into our program; we tailor the program to fit the individual.
It is important that our Tapestry trained caregivers get to know each resident; their habits, their likes, and dislikes the things that make them a unique person. This ongoing process is critical to being effective partners and guides along each residents path. We are here to learn and listen.
Together with the resident, family, physician, and staff; we will work with you to customize a personalized care plan. Personal care, nursing, meals, and life enrichment are all tailored to fit each residents unique wants and needs. Its all about respect for the individual. Thats what makes Tapestry approach a success.

The rooms were nice, however, that was about all the good I can say. We moved my father to Tapestry to be closer to us, rather than a privately owned facility in Beaver county (MUCH better care at that facility!!!!!!). Although the first visual impression was great, they were extremely understaffed, and the manager Cheryl could not have been less personable. On my last visit to see my dad, they wheeled him down in a wheelchair and I saw that he was in pulmonary failure. When I told the staff who brought him down that he needed a nurse immediately, it took about 3 minutes for the nurse to get there AND she didn't even have a stethoscope with her. This just delayed everything by another 3-4 minutes. All that being said, I would not recommend this place for either assisted living or memory care. The cost of over $6,000 per month was absolutely unreal. I could expand on many more things, but I think this information speaks for itself.

My mom was at the Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township. Our experience was horrific. It was terrible. The staff was inadequate. They were understaffed and not very well-trained. They were nice, but they should not be in a memory care facility. The food was terrible. The care was non-existent. There were no activities. The rooms were nice when we got there, but they were never cleaned. You barely saw the staff during the day or any time. If anybody plans on putting their loved one there, they are going to be the ones taking care of them. They better show up every day because the staff won't take care of them. It should be illegal for them to have memory care.

I toured Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township. It was beautiful, it's lovely, and there wasn't anything we didn't like about it. The staff that I met, their personality was altogether different from the other places I toured. I didn't feel the warmth that I did in the other place. There was a lot that they had for the people to do. They had like a little town set up, they had store signs, it's like a town square, they had a little theater where they can go and watch movies, and there's a library where they can take out books. Their amenities were nice and the place was very clean. It's close to restaurants, shopping malls, and churches.

This place was terrible. My mother was there for memory care. She was not checked on in the morning and often missed breakfast. She would be left with her diaper overflowing, so much that she soaked the bed. The clothing that we brought in for her, that was labeled would disappear. The bedding that we provided would also disappear. The day that we decided that she had to be removed immediately, there was a three foot long rip in the sheet on her bed. There was no mattress pad, the bedding was all wet. My mother was always in a terrible mood but the very day that we moved her, she was as happy as could be. She smiled, suddenly remembered people, would sing all the time. We wondered if they were actually giving her her medication. I would not recommend this location to anyone!! Staff turn over was incredible high. No one would continue there for more than a month or two!

The place was filthy & the room smelled like urine. The bathroom had not t been clean in weeks. They gave my Aunt a ham sandwich on a hamburger bun for lunch and nothing else. That was a far cry from the hot meals she is supposed to get. If you ask the staff a question they say they don’t know anything. You should be ashamed of the non care provided. Anyone choosing this facility is putting their loved one it hell.

We went to Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township. It used to be a big hotel, and it just wasn't what we were looking for due to the way it was set up. We were only taken to this one room to show us what it might look like, and we weren't taken any further or shown anything else. I wasn't really impressed with the room. It wasn't what we were looking for, so I wasn't really into it. The room wasn't homey looking. I didn't feel like it was home or anything. She said there were activities. The place is just a big open area because it used to be a big hotel, and they have left it pretty much the way it was and utilized the rooms for the residents, but I wasn't really impressed with it. I can't say a lot about it because from the front of the place, we were walked to the room, and that was it. It's local, so it is not hard to get to. The staff did do a follow-up call, but from our perspective, the place was just too big and too open, and it just seemed like it was still a big hotel for us.

My mother will be moving into Tapestry Senior Living Moon Township. It had everything we wanted, and it's a nice place. It's not the typical senior living center. They have a lot of activities and they have restaurants. I liked the fact that they have a maid who comes in once a week to clean. The staff was very friendly. They have three different restaurants, and they do their laundry. They come in and put it away for them.

My mother was at Tapestry Senior Living. The staff was good, but there was no communication with the doctor. My mother had a lump in her face for weeks, and the doctor never called me about it. There were not enough staff to care for the people. My mom was always dirty, her hair was a mess, and it was terrible. It was a beautiful place, but as far as the care went, it was terrible. I'm glad I got her out of there. Her room was nice, but I had not been in it for a long time. It was big, and it was nice, but I don't know how they kept it. I just knew they didn't have enough staff to care for the people. Sometimes there was only one aide for two floors. She said the food was good, and they did have activities when they had enough staff to do them. A couple of times, I talked to one of the staff, and she said she was the only one there for both floors, so obviously you can't do anything with just one person there. So, I would say they're understaffed and have no communication. When she came in last year, they did some nice things like rock painting and different arts and crafts, but it just went downhill through the year. It started out good, but I don't know what happened in the end. The place was beautiful, though. It was a hotel, so it had a huge courtyard.
