From the moment I walked in this center it felt warm and inviting. The staff greeted us right away with warm smiles. The Director was very attentive to our concerns about placing our family member in something like this and offered a trial day to see if our family member would enjoy the program and feel comfortable. My family member has been attending for a little over half a year and really enjoys attending and looks forward to going, especially when there is music and they really enjoy the craft projects and other community visitors. I would recommend this program to anyone who's family member needs socialization or the caregiver needs respite. The staff are attentive to everyone, make sure everyone is involved to the best of their ability and they also offer a caregiver support group monthly. I am unsure about meals but my family member doesn't complain so I guess that's a good sign.

Out decisions to try adult day services was not for caregiver relief but more for social stimulation and maintaining level of independence. Clients at this facility are not separated based on cognitive abilities which leaves those with greater capacity with minimal stimulation and/or feelings of condescension . Social aspect of forming friendships with other clients was one of the greatest benefits. This has been the greatest factor in continuing attendance. Some of the saff does not adjust the level of activity to provide stimulation for all clients. It is a one activity fits all mentality geared towards the lowest ability level such as preschool opening songs. Balanced meals are provided. This program has lead to many family discussions whether or not to return. As staff has changed over the years, so has our level of satisfaction.
