Within Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, there is an assisted living facility that is contained in what they call the Raker building. Most of the staff I encountered seemed friendly and willing to help, although some of the nurse aides seemed more interested in their cell phones than in feeding the patients. Aside from that, everyone seemed nice. The facility seemed filled with a certain pride and integrity, as this facility has been around for quite some time and has a superior reputation in the community. The food seemed of a high quality, and it seemed like there were no problems in the residents getting what they ordered, which is a problem in many of these places due to the high number of patients. The residents seemed happy to be there, and that seems to me to be the most important factor. They had decent sized rooms from what I saw, and it seemed like they were living pretty good over there.
