My mom moved into Kinsington Oak Grove. I was really impressed with how clean and neat it was. My mother seems to be doing just fine there so far, and we're hoping that she continues to do well the remainder of her time there. The staff members are all nice, helpful, pleasant, willing to help out, and take care of things the way they should. My mom's room is brand new. She's in a brand-new wing that hasn't been filled up with patients yet, so she's in a new facility. It's a little on the small side, but she doesn't mind. It's a nice place. I know that my mom played bingo a couple of times. She's planted some flowers in the courtyard. My mom likes to get outside when she can, so they brought her some plants to put in the dirt. I haven't tried it myself, but from what I could tell, the food looks pretty good. The layout of the facility is a little different. The only thing that I don't like about it was they've got it sectioned off into wings, and each wing was confined in their own little area. They can't go and interact with other people unless they ask to get the door unlocked. They are very expensive. I just wish they would open the place up more, so that there is more interaction with other people that are living there.

We did a tour of Kinsington Oak Grove, and we kept calling it hospital like. It has long hallways and is very sterile. It just reminded us of a hospital. The staff was pretty knowledgeable, very friendly, and helpful. We kind of wrote that off because of the cost of the facility. It was by far the highest of any place we went. It was very clean, we described it as sterile, but we didn't necessarily like the layout just because it had long hallways and seemed to be a little bit more separated than we wanted. We saw the dining area, the living room area, and a couple of rooms. They had an outdoor area as well. The room was very clean and nice.
