We have chosen Heritage Assisted Living for my father-in-law. The staff is super, super friendly, and very informative. The tenants there actually look out for each other. They offer around 10 different food menu items and then they have a specialty every day. They have arts and crafts that go on all the time. The staff, as well as residents there, help out one another, especially the ones that have dementia, and make sure that they get involved, which I thought is great. They also do in-house cognitive therapy, as well as physical therapy. I love walking into it. It makes you feel like you're in a mini town, like a mini-mall strip, which is neat. We love the food and the fact that we can sit down with him and eat. The staff is very informative on things that they're working on with him or activities that they do. They try to include the families. That way, we can all get involved with his care.

Heritage Assisted Living was nice and clean. They were very helpful, and I could see that my mom would be cared for there. They serve good meals, provide haircut services, and give her meds. She could also have her dog with her (which is the most important thing). It's a two story building, which may or may not be a good thing. If you've got a small pet and you're put on the second floor, you have to go through the elevator or walk down the stairs (which my mom probably couldn't do very well). They would allow us to come visit mom, and we could pay a minor price to sit down and have a meal with her. I loved the way that they have everything planned out for the day or even for the whole month. They get their breakfast. Then they do exercise, play games in the afternoon, and have popcorn and a movie in the evening.

The location and the ease of access were probably the best things about Heritage Assisted Living. However, it had an institutional feel to it, kind of like you're in a hospital. Neither my father, nor I really felt a connection to the person that did the tour. They weren't very personable and neither one of us felt like it would be a good fit. The residents didn't seem very happy, and the staff seemed really stressed out. The place looked nice. The rooms were fairly large, and it was a big place; they had a lot of space. The cleanliness looked satisfactory too. They showed us their cafeteria and an activity area, where they had games, books, and things like that.

Heritage Assisted Living was very clean, very nice, and had very nice people. That would be our first pick if we decided. The rooms were very nice and clean too. There would be enough room for a single person to live there. They do crafts, they had a salon, and a library there.

While the staff seemed very friendly and helpful, don't expect to get a timely response to a phone call....if at all. I find it in poor taste to charge a resident a month's rent two days after their death. Place was clean, staff friendly.

We had a virtual tour of Heritage Assisted Living and then we went up there. That's when I found out about the added cost. When I found about that, we knew we just wouldn't be able to afford it. Most of the staff members were very friendly, but there was one nurse in particular that I knew was going to be in charge of taking care of Mom most of the time. I think her personality probably would have clashed a little because she was very authoritative. I don't think that my mom would have responded very well to that. There was still a lot going on, like there's residents that were walking around, walking in the hall, and people in the meeting area were playing a game and just talking with each other. I feel like they were all getting along well and they looked happy. I didn't see a garden. I didn't walk in the dining area, but I got to see the inside of it. It was nice looking.

Heritage Assisted Living was excellent. The place was very clean. The staff was very informative. It was very impressive. It was one of our top places. We had seen two apartments there and they were both good types. It was very friendly and very clean, but we decided on a location closer to my home so I can be more involved in my parents' care. Unfortunately, Heritage Assisted Living was too far away from me. I liked the way they had their nurses stations down through the middle on the lower floor. However, it's a two-story building, so I was not sure my mother was going to like the elevator. Nevertheless, we were very impressed with it. The staff member was excellent. She has been there a long time. Her length of service was very important to me. It means she likes her job, and apparently, the company treats her well. She also gave us the best information of anyone we interviewed. All the patrons there seemed very happy, too.

Heritage Assisted Living was very nice and clean. When we came in, they greeted us and the activities director showed us around and showed us stuff. They let us know what activities they have and they also posted it. Their rooms were a little bit bigger than the other place we toured, and it was nice. They have movie nights, bingo and arts and crafts.

Food and dining options are one of the things that would be most important to me, and is also important to my dad who has been a resident for over 10 years, Our family has eaten there many times and the food choices and quality are very good. This facility is privately owned and is very well managed when compared most of the corporate owned facilities that we had previous experiences with. The workers and staff are also very caring/considerate and get to know the residents and their families. The facility is very clean and up-to-date. They also provide various activities for the residents on a daily basis (bingo, crafts, movie night, etc.) along with occasional field trips to a baseball game or other events in addition to the weekly trips to Walmart. I feel very fortunate to have my dad (and now also my mother-in-law) reside at Heritage Assisted Living.

My mother lives at this facility and I can't say enough about the wonderful care she receives from all of the staff that work here. She has some dementia, but they keep an eye on her, but if there is a problem they are on the phone explaining to me what's going on and if I need to be there or not. The owner is there is there almost every time I visit her, which is weekly, and is a most congenial person to visit with.

My Mother in law and Dad have been there for a year now. My Mom was also there until her death, a few months ago. The staff is very kind, caring and tries really hard to make all the residents feel at home, and cared for. They are very good at working with the family, and keeping us informed what's going on at all times. I know that our parents are getting their meds, they are getting 3 square meals a day, and that they are with people that care for them. My mind is at ease knowing that my Mother in Law and Dad are taken care of 24/7. It makes our life much easier. Heritage has been in our neighborhood for several years, I have never heard anyone say anything negative about them. When people find out where my parents are, they only have good things to say about them. I hear things like "Oh my Dad was there, or my Aunt was there, and they were so good with them". So thankful that Heritage is there for our family!

My uncle is a current resident at Heritage Assisted Living. He, along with others in our family previewed several facilities in an effort to find a place for him to live that was welcoming, clean and efficient, yet fit in our budget. We wanted the Best for our money. We found all that and more at Heritage Assisted Living. We found the staff and caregivers sincerely care about the residents. Many have worked there for years and years. The nursing staff is excellent, the food is good, also included is, laundry & cleaning service and much more. Socializing is encouraged, but privacy is respected. The fact this facility is privately owned and operated makes the difference.

This community is wonderful! Perfect place for my Mom., I looked at several different community's and found that they were not forthcoming. The rates they gave me were not what it would end up being in a few months. Also the corporate owned facilities just felt cold. When you walk into Heritage it feels welcoming. It is very clean and smells good. The staff seems very happy and welcomed my Mom. She felt comfortable from the beginning. They even offered a meal to us and the food was great! They have a huge selection for Mom to choose from. The rooms are well maintained and have huge closets. The activities are abundant and she even can choose to go out of field trips. The cost was all inclusive and they even show you how the evaluate my Mom to figure cost. We love that it is family owned and the feel of the facility is like one big family. We believe this is the place we will put my Mom.

Heritage was an older facility, and it wasn't as nice and new as the other two facilities that I had visited, but it was clean. It took a minute for them to find somebody to go with the tour, but it's OK, since we came in unannounced. The staff was very friendly. She showed us the whole facility. The dining was an open concept, and it was cafeteria type. It was a big room with round tables where people could have a conversation with each other. I was a little concerned because all the rooms were upstairs and you came down in an elevator, or you could use the stairs, but I thought the stairs were secluded. I don't see how my mother would deal with that. The rooms were well lit, but smaller, and they were older rooms.
