When my mom moved into The Arbors I was a bit concerned because it is pretty small. But it has turned out to be just perfect. My sister lives in the Tulsa area but I am a plane flight away. The room setup is great. Mom loves that the living area is separate from the bedroom. The kitchen though small works well. Mom keeps sodas and other treats in the fridge. It even has a laundry center which means Mom’s clothing doesn’t disappear. The staff has made the effort to learn the authors / subjects Mom likes and coordinates with the library to bring her large print and audio books. She really like to read or listen to books and this is an invaluable service. For a small residence The Arbors provides a number of special programs in the residence. Mom’s favorites are anything from the Gilcrease Museum and most of the musical programs. It delights me when she has enjoyed a program so much, she is excited to tell me about it. Someone from the staff sends me the monthly activity schedule so I can ask Mom about this or that program or remind her of one I think she’ll like. Mom’s favorite routine activity is Bingo. She gets a kick out of picking small sundries with her “Bingo Bucks”. Someone from the staff goes to get her if she is not at the bingo table because they know it is her favorite activity. Mom also participates in the “sittercise” class and I am glad to see the Arbors has light exercise programs. I have eaten with Mom on a couple of occasions and though tthe food was pretty good. But Mom is a picky eater and doesn’t always like what they serve. Recently the staff started offering custom “alternate choice” items and that has made a big difference. Now she is always able to have something she likes. I am in Tulsa and get to visit Mom in person a couple times a year and enjoy meeting the staff in person. I am always gratified with how well Mom is treated.

About The Arbors in Tulsa, Oklahoma
At The Arbors, we share a common goal with every family who walks through our doors: We want the best for our seniors. Decades of experience have shown us that giving "your all", frankly, isn't enough. Seniors at The Arbors experience possibilities, reach their potential, and live each day to its fullest. We see it as our responsibility (and great privilege) to provide the opportunities and inspiration for our residents to embrace senior living and thrive in their new lifestyle at The Arbors.
Through the years, we have identified the facets of healthy living that contribute to our residents' total well-being. These include environmental, nutritional, physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional factors. We combine them to keep the twinkle in the eyes of our residents, and we call it our LAUGH philosophy: Living And Understanding Greater Health. For example, taking in a brain fitness class may contribute to more than mental well-being by building new social relationships and prolonging independence. Breaking bread together in our dining room may nourish more than the body when you consider the lively conversation and positive atmosphere. Our attractive and bright individual residences can provide more than a safe environment when embellished with cherished belongings, personal mementos, or even the companionship of a small pet. Laughter is the best medicine, and it all adds up to happier seniors in a healthier community.
Like you, we want the very best for our Seniors.

The amount of space is just right for one person. The rooms have there own washer/dryer which is great. Always had clean clothes and no piles of dirty laundry. The staff was very caring and always took great care of my dad. My dad was well loved by the staff. Lydia always had great activities going on during the day, so the residents had interaction with each other. I would recommend this community.

I was in the area looking at assisted living facilities for a relative and found the staff to be very warm and caring. Looked like it was located in a very nice safe area of town
