My mother is in Cedarhurst of Woodland Hills. It's all independent living. It's very clean. They've got friendly front desk people or receptionists. They are very helpful like if she has the mail or a box or something that she can't get to her room, they're very helpful there at the front desk. They know her name when she comes down to eat. They always speak, "Good to see you," that type of thing. It's just very inviting. Her apartment is a one-bedroom, and it's fairly new. It's got a great kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. It's airy. It's got a big sliding glass door to go out on the balcony. She has her own washer dryer facility in there and a nice-sized bedroom with a closet. It's very convenient. She's very convenient to the elevator. It's not a long walk to anything. It's just very nice. It's well taken care of. They have activities going on all the time. The activity director is fabulous. She keeps them busy. They have games, and they have a Valentine's banquet-type thing in the dining room. Recently, she puts pictures on Facebook, so I can see if mom's there and she's always attending things. They do bingo. They have a piano in the dining room, they have people come in and give concerts, every Friday afternoon, they have cookies or cake or something with wine for the residents to enjoy and just sit around and socialize, and they have a choir. A man comes in and leads the choir for them. Every day, there's something on the calendar to do. We're very happy with it. The food is very good. I've eaten there several times when I'm visiting mom and they have a menu every day with different choices. She enjoys it. They have a cleaning crew on-staff that they do other things also, so it's not like a cleaning company that comes in and they're not the best at cleaning her apartment. The dining room and the lobby and everything else is very clean, shining, and smell good. They just don't do a whole lot in the individual apartment.

Our tour of Cedarhurst of Woodland Hills was a pleasant experience. I think in terms of eye appeal, it felt new and modern. The spaces were large and open. They felt current, and the exterior of the building looked relatively new, too. The staff was friendly, warm and welcoming. The meal was a good experience. It was a good solid option for us. We saw both one-bedroom and two-bedroom spaces.

We have a family member at Cedarhurst of Woodland Hills. They're very supportive. They have washers and dryers in the rooms, they have exercising, they have arts, they have fine dining, movies, and card games. They take you to the doctor, and they will take you to Walmart. They have an outdoor swimming pool. The food is excellent, lots of choices, and it's healthy.

Cedarhurst of Woodland Hills was well managed and clean; however, they were reluctant to give a good nod towards the next stage in senior's life which is going to be care of assisted living. They didn't like handrails in their hallways. That was disturbing to both me and my wife. Their location was difficult, too. The dense apartment complex right there strikes against them. They had some interesting activities. Particularly they had a construction area and a carpentry area for their tenants who like to have that hobby. They also have covered parking that was pretty nice. They could have an A on everything but their location knocked them down in my opinion. The staff members were excellent. The grounds were well maintained. There was a pool that was pretty inviting, and their grounds were fenced all the way around. It looked like security was very well taken care of. Even though all of those were a lot of positives, the one thing that would throw me out on making a decision for Cedarhurst would be their location. There's too many other apartments and housing complexes in the immediate neighborhood.

I have toured several places for my Mom and, after touring Cedarhurst, I knew I didn't need to look further. The entire place was so lovely and pleasing and the rooms were very well designed. Spoke with some of the residents and they were very comfortable with their "home" and especially loved all the social activities within the community for the residents. The staff was very informative and even I felt comfortable being there. All in all, for the price and what is included in the amenities, Cedarhurst is definitely the place for my Mom.

I was at Cedarhurst. It used to be Tapestry. It was wonderful. The staff was excellent. It was a beautiful community. It was well laid-out. There were lots of amenities.

I've been here for about two years in Tapestry. It has one building with three stories, around 160 apartments, and it's wonderful. They don't have meals here, and I prepare my own food as I have a special diet. It's luxury living and beautiful. It's like a resort with a swimming pool, a heated salt water pool, and a light breakfast served every morning except Sundays. Everybody has an apartment with a refrigerator and a full kitchen. It's a relatively new place. They have a calendar of activities for the month, and the shuttle bus takes us shopping or wherever we want to go.
