I liked Hefner Mansions a lot. My husband's grandmother lived there when it first opened years ago. We went back to see it 3 months ago for my uncle and they showed me around independent living. Some repairs needed to be done but I think they would have been done before my uncle could move in so it was fine. The food was a little bit not what I'd hoped for though, or at least, he didn't like it that day. The lady staff we met was fine.

The rooms at Hefner Mansions were a little bit smaller than what we wanted, but it was very clean and very nice. They had a bigger exercise room, a big social calendar, and flexible transportation. Any time you needed to go somewhere, they would arrange transportation for you. The staff was very good. They were very friendly but not pushy. They were informative.

Hefner Mansions was very clean. They had organized activities. The rooms were very spacious. There were numerous selections to choose from. We ate lunch there and the food was excellent. The location of where it was was very convenient from where my house was located. The people were very helpful, very informative, and just very friendly. The facility could use some updating, though. The atmosphere was very friendly. It was clean and the staff met us at the door. The large one bedroom was very adequate.

We went to Hefner Mansions. Sarita is amazing. She is the marketing director or whatever you want to call it. I love the facility regarding its cleanliness and the modernness of it. We've had lunch with them twice now. Their side menu is like everyday food and stuff like that. I had a cheeseburger with them, and it was delicious. The whole family went as far as my son, my daughter, and the children, so everybody went, and it was cool because they were very welcoming to everybody. They thought the kids were adorable. All the residents and the staff were very accommodating. They didn't seem like they were being bothered by us or anything like that. We ate in the dining room with everybody, and it was personable and very nice. Their walls are nice, white, and clean. They have an herb garden and a little wagon in their hallway. Their halls are lit up very nicely. They're wide enough for several people to be able to walk down there. My mom can't walk long distances, and she has to rest in between, and she was able to do so. They had various chairs around. The thing that Mom probably didn't like about it is that it's a single level. The dining room is in phase one. Phase two has been done, remodeled, and everything. However, because it's single level, they are split into rings, so there can be some long walking and stuff like that to get to the dining room. The thing that I liked about this place is that, unlike all the other facilities that I've been to, my mom has a separate entrance that she can go in. She doesn't have to check in with them. They can knock on her personal apartment door. She's got a porch that she's able to have her porch furniture out on and stuff like that. It's very nice, and it's very homey. It's privately owned, so we don't have to deal with corporations that are promising us when they're doing their sales talk and stuff like that. There are 99 apartments there, and they are 100% filled right now. That's how good they are.

We liked the Hefner Mansions. It's all ground level, then you have access from the outside, like a tiny patio and a door from the outside, so you could park and bring your groceries in and stuff like that. The people that were living there were very friendly and they seemed to enjoy spending time together. It was not as fancy as the others, but the people there seemed to be happy. They like to interact with each other, so that was nice. The rooms were well lit. They have a library and an exercise place. I enjoyed the interactions with the people there. The lady who showed us around was really nice. They have one- and two-bedroom apartments, one-bedroom one-bath, two-bedroom 1.5-bath, and two-bedroom two-bath. There's the usual community fee or application fee. They allow pets. You can get a scooter from them and then their second person fee is $600.

I went to Hefner Mansions. It's very well represented. They have good landscaping. They have a pool, an exercise room, and a very large dining area. They offer three meals a day. The person was very nice, very polite, and very knowledgeable. She let us know if I needed any rehab or anything, that they had it there. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. If your doctor says you need therapy, you can get therapy right there, too.

Hefner Mansions was really good. I went twice. The first time it was on lockdown, and I couldn't see the facility -- just one room, so I went back after they opened. I'm very impressed. It's very spacious, they're remodeling the whole place, it's clean, and if I needed a place I would want to go there. The staff was great, and the food smelled delicious. The only thing I saw that was a little bit of a drawback is the apartment my sister-in-law is going into has been remodeled, and apparently they put handles in the shower on the wall on the fiberglass, and then decided to take them off and put them somewhere else, and there's still glue on the fiberglass wall. Everything else seems to be all in order. My sister-in-law will move in on May 1.

Hefner Mansions was very light and had a lot of windows; it was very relaxed. The staff member that showed us through the place was very friendly. I didn't go into their dining area, but I saw it. They mostly do things that you could do at a distance, or you could go and get games, puzzles, and stuff that you could do in your rooms, or you could take walks or exercise in the hallways. What sold me on it was that it was a very friendly place, and it just felt that it fit my personality.

Hefner Mansions is nice and pretty new, and the staff is good. We asked for a room for a party and they got us one. My parents have a kitchen in their studio apartment. They've got plenty of activities and they offer a lot of service and help if needed. There are also people outside that provide services independent from them. They love the place and they love the food. It's a good place. I just wish they would offer more assisted living.

Hefner Mansions would be fine. It just seemed like the people were a little less active or like they were a little too dependent on the help. What I did like about it was that it had a cafeteria, a barber shop, and an exercise room. The rooms were fine. It was a little more like a hotel. They assign the rooms, and the rooms were all pretty much alike. They had 2-bedrooms and 1-bedroom separate from the kitchen, and I liked that too.

Hefner Mansions was clean, and it looked like it was well-kept with a lot of amenities. The person who assisted us was very knowledgeable and nice. We saw two apartments, but we didn’t see any activities. We saw the dining area, and it looks nice. They also had a barber shop and an exercise room.

Hefner Mansions’ was not luxurious, but it would have been adequate. The dining facilities were not really that good either, but the rooms were large.

My mom is in Hefner Mansions, and it is a large facility. It is very nice and very well-kept. It is basically brand new. Her room is large, and it has a walk-in closet.

Hefner Mansions is wonderful. It is a very convenient distance from my house; it is only ten minutes from where I live. The facilities are just wonderful. It has a new concept. The room is wonderful and perfect. We have a caregiver with her, and my mother is able to fit everything she wants to bring and she still has room. All rooms are accessible from the outside and inside. The have like wings all the way around. It is just perfect. They are all very well done. It is independent, but they have bells in every room. It is like a basic apartment with all the amenities. It is all on the ground level, and it is very nice. They have a cafeteria and an exercise room. For people who have decent retirement, it is affordable.

Hefner Mansions is larger and bigger than the others. There were a lot of activities like Bingo, birthday parties, and shopping trips. They have nice one bedroom apartment.

My visit with Hefner Mansions is very good. If we were going to move, that's probably the place where we would move in. All the rooms were in one floor and each room was spacious. They also have a walking path outside. Their staff is helpful during my visit. They also have activities like exercise classes.
