My husband goes to Elder Care two times a week. He goes twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. He goes from 9 to 4. I have been using them for three months now. It's very nice and well-designed. The people are very nice. They play bingo, they do artwork, they play games and puzzles, and they do all that to keep people busy. They feed my husband breakfast and lunch. They have many bathrooms, so they don't have to wait in line or anything. You can go five days a week or four days a week. They have lots of people. They greet you at the door. They bring my husband out the door when I drive up to get him. There are people at the desk to take my husband's blood pressure and write down his weight on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have a library if they want to read, and they have a library of puzzles if you want to work on a puzzle. The staff are very nice. They call my husband by name. They call him Buddy. The staff are always very friendly. They have two buses. They pick up and deliver the people back home, but we just live about four blocks from there, so I take him and pick him up myself.

My mother developed dementia, as I live out of her state, I needed to find some help and guidance quickly. ElderCare in Bartlesville OK was a godsend. I have a fantastic case manager who guided me through the process of hiring caregivers, she administers the medications (filling pill minders). There is also an insurance specialist in this facility who guides me through the yearly decision of what Medicare policies best suit my mother. The facility is beautiful and is a place that my mothers enjoys visiting. This is not a living facility, but a private / government funded project that provides guidance and they've helped me keep my mom in her house with caregivers.
