What I liked the most about Adams County Manor was the family atmosphere that's there. The private rooms and the new addition rooms were state of the art. I think they have full amenities and they offer everything from bingo to having a spa. They served a really good homestyle meal.

Not only were the STNA's amazing at their job, but they also made my grandmother feel very at home while she was there. They were nice and respectful towards her, and the rest of my family while we were there. The facility was very clean and seemed to be ran very well. Even though my grandmother was suffering from Alzheimer, they made her feel like she wasn't going "crazy" and she always talked about the nurses and how amazing they were. Even towards the end she always had nice and kind things to say about the staff. I would honestly recommend any and everyone that I know/ people that I don't know to Adams' County Manor.

My grandfather was admitted into Adams County Nursing Home in March of 2000. He was having trouble walking, and doing anything for himself. He was scared, confused and upset about going into a nursing home; and I will admit so was I. On his first day we were greeted at the door by the DON herself, and she treated us like family. A tour of the remodeled facility was given to my grandfather and the rest of our family. It is a beautiful place, and everyone that we passed gave us a warm and genuine smile. My grandfather loved it from the start, and so did we. As time went on he came to know every nurse, aide, and housekeeper by name. They treated him like family and he was spoiled rotten. On the day that he left to return home he cried about leaving this wonderful place, and even though he is no longer a resident there, every Thursday he can be found in the activity room eating blueberry pie and playing bingo.
