My dad was in Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center. They were wonderful, they gave him great care, and really cared about him. They treated him like he was their own father. I couldn't have asked for people better for him, and the rehab was great, he did wonderfully and he got back to getting around. The facility felt like a community for him. They have a lot of activities and things that bring everybody together.

Previous comments made were before the new administrator came. The new administrator has over 20 years of Nursing Home Care, and he is making incredible changes. The activity calendar is full of more events, outings, and games to keep all the residents busy and engaged. New positions have been created to help the workload among employees and to increase productivity and results. The food served is hot and fresh. I barely eat cooked carrots, but their's are delicious! The nurses genuinely care for the residents and their interests. They get to know them and understand their likes, dislikes, families, and who they are. Whenever I come in to see mom, there is always laughter carrying through the halls. Over the last year, many amazing changes have developed. I would suggest anyone to send their mom or dad here. Not to mention, it is one of the more affordable homes. And for your information, the home is a not for profit and receives no county monies. They are of only thirty three county homes left in the state of Ohio. I am extremely impressed with the changes in care for aging adults.

Facility seemed nice but the administrator was not so friendly! Not pleased with how I hear him talking to other nurses! Nurses are great , the aides are great but no one is running the place right!

am really disappointed as to what this home has become. They are wasting alot of money on looks people trying to make a name for themselves at others expense, have lost touch with the caring and family atmosphere that once made it a great facility.

The place itself often seemed a little dingy. Smell was a little stronger than some of the other nursing homes I've been to visiting other elderly family members Very pleasant nurses to say the least. The food looked fine. At least very similar to the food my grandmother herself cooked.Location was seemingly desolate which has it's pros and cons. Not alot too look at as far as views go. Sometimes the occasional deer, beavers, groundhogs, squirrels and foxes, but for some of the elderly, those things move too fast to inspire any sort of reaction. TV's provide most of the entertainment while the nurses aren't around. Visiting family was a breeze to do, and were never hassled with any ridiculous questions. As aforementioned, the nurses are nice enough, that you actually feel you are trusting your family members to their own new friends.Overall, being a county home, it's still pretty nice.
