My uncle is in the rehab side of Villa Springfield, and he's been there several times because he's always falling. The place looks great, but they are understaffed now and it is really hard to get people for help right away. But overall, it is clean and my uncle has no complaints. The food has been really good, too. All the women that helped me get this going with him for his long-term care have been very sensitive to everybody's feelings and they've been very understanding. They have different activities in this one big room all the time, like bingo and entertainment.

My sister is at Villa Springfield. It looks clean, and the nurses are somewhat nice. Overall, there are one or two who are a lot nicer than the rest. The therapists work well with her. She likes the therapists there, but it's there where she fell out of bed and where they keep bringing in food that they know she doesn't eat. It had its good points at first, but it is starting to turn around now that we need to get her moved into a better place. My sister was getting rehab until her insurance ran out, and then something about that you have to wait a week or something before they can start again if you're self-paying and stuff. My sister is always in bed. The tray is always here in the bed and the tray is always full of stuff. She can't get up to clean the tray off. When I go in, if a box of Kleenex is there and she doesn't need them, I'll move them off. If they do have activities, they never took my sister down. The only place I've heard that they ever took her was to therapy. There are a couple of really good nurses. But the staff has not welcomed us the way we thought they should have. It's really clean and all that, but when we go in, there's never anybody at the front desk. We know where my sister's room is, so we just go right in and go.

I had an elderly family member stay here after she had knee surgery. This poor thing was MISERABLE. Come to find out she had a bad infection in her foot that they didn’t catch until it was too late. She passed away there two days ago. But before her passing apparently they starved her to death...she had said the food was so bad and once they brought her a tray and there was nothing in it! She lost a lot of weight but there was no mention of bringing her alternatives to at least keep her weight up or stable. Do not let them take of your loved one!

The aides leave patients in wet diapers and when a patient needs something they will cop an attitude and say what now and never come back. And one time the kitchen ran out of bread and the meals are awful looking.

I went to Villa Springfield. It seemed to be a very nice and clean facility. The individual I spoke with was very helpful, knowledgeable, and was able to answer a lot of questions and concerns that I had. I would go there if I was looking for a place for my parents. The rooms were very clean, I did not smell anything, there was no odor at all, and I was very pleased with that. They were eating when I was there, and it smelled good. They had bingo, there was a study area where they could go and read, like a little quiet area, and they had outings that they could go to. They have transportation to and from their appointments, doctors would come to the facility for them, they had a little outdoor area where they could go out to and sit, and they had little bird-feeders. I was impressed by the staff, the rooms, the cleanliness of the area, and the smell of the facility.

My mother has been at Villa for nearly 2 years. On a positive note, the staff is caring and attentive. It's not perfect. Sometimes they are understaffed, but it's obvious that they work hard to meet her basic needs. She is always clean. If you let management know of issues, they respond quickly. Water is always fresh, there is a separate menu to order from if she doesn't like what's scheduled. Towels are available in the hall, but not always hung up in the bathroom. She got a bed sore, but it was treated and has cleared up. The rooms are dated and furniture needs replaced. They take trips out, but unfortunately my mother won't go. My mother was in 2 other facilities and was a previous nurse supervisor in a nursing home. She won't consider going anywhere else. We visit regularly, and feel like family.

My great aunt stayed at Villa Springfield. The place was clean and spacious but there was a certain odor that I noticed when inside. I thought they were understaffed. Nonetheless, the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. She was on physical therapy but the staff were slow at instigating it. I thought the residents were not watched as closely as they should be.

my relative has been very happy with the doctor and a few of the staff. Unfortunately, he only trusts a few. The majority of the staff argue with him and discourage his asking for assistance. The food is so bad he only eats part of the time. The facility is clean and looks great to the public but being inside for any length of time is a nightmare. We do not recomend this facility
