Oakwood Village is very nice. My brother is there right now for rehab and a good friend of mine, and they both like it very well. It's a very good place. The staff is very nice, especially Emily. My brother says the meals are very good. They have a very nice courtyard that has a little duck with its ducklings in there. So, that was wonderful. They have puzzles, a game room, and a library. It's all expensive, but it's one of the best ones in Springfield. It's great.

Oakwood Village was very good. I enjoyed the place. They're very friendly and very clean. It was someplace I would like for my parents to be when it comes. The staff was very informational, very polite, and any questions I had, they answered. The rooms looked like an apartment. It's almost like a hotel-type thing. They were gonna do a birthday party when I was there. The dining area was clean and pleasant, and the tables weren't too crowded.

I have gone to Oakwood Village to visit a friend. Everybody was just wonderful, the nurses there, the aides, and they had different functions for the seniors. They have places for them to go and get their hair done, the nails done, and they had exercise class that I thought was extremely good for seniors. It was a nice place to visit. The food was delicious. There were two people in a room, there was enough for -- they had a closet, a bed, and they had a dresser, and nightstand. It was OK.

My mother is in Oakwood Village for rehab. I like that this place is clean. The staff is fine and they're friendly. They have amenities like a salon, exercise room, putting rings and rehab facilities. They do puzzles, games and things like that.

My aunt is at Oakwood Village. It's awesome and it's very clean. The patients are always clean and neat. The medical director does an excellent job caring for the patients. He's very attentive and he communicates very well with the patient's families. I've been very impressed with the nurses too. They go out of their way to contact me whenever there's a change in medicine or a change in condition. They do a great job there. They also do a great job keeping my aunt as independent as she can be. My aunt likes the food. They have done a good job with supplementing it because she doesn't have a big appetite. They actually come to the room everyday and ask what she wants; she can choose her vegetable and her meat. They have a good selection of food, but sometimes, it looked a little too done.

Oakwood Village was an older building that seemed a little dark, but they sent me a little newsletter about what's going on, and I noticed they said that they had put in all new furnishings in the atrium. I'm sure that would make a big difference. The lady who showed me around said they had a lunch buffet and a regular dinner. It seemed like it had a lot of church activities.

We liked Oakwood Village the best. It was a beautiful place. The engagement with the staff was very good. The activities they did with the residents were really good. It was so nice that my mother-in-law had tears in her eyes.

I looked at Oakwood Village and this place was nice. It had a park-like setting. The staff was friendly. I saw the rooms and they were small.

The facility was clean. The staff was kind. They seemed nice to my grandma. The facility did not smell bad. The food was good. I ate there often. My grandma did not complain about the staff treatment or the food. However some of the aides did seem lazy. The nurses were intelligent. My grandma was allowed to have visitors at any time of day or night. My grandpa always went to see her and he could come and go any time. We felt like we had control over what my grandma needed and received. However the building and equipment is older. The beds were older and uncomfortable. Their equipment needs updated.

Stay away from this facility. Our family chose Oakwood because they promised us it was an end of life facility where our Mother would be cared for for the rest of her life. After 2 years there in the independent living side she moved to the assisted living side and was asked to leave after 3 weeks. She went from self pay to the medicaid waiver when she moved. We were on vacation when we received the call. They gave us 30 minutes to get there or they were putting her on the street. They ended up sending our mother to a psychiatric ward in dayton ohio so they could officially discharge her without giving her tennents rights. They know their way around the system. They do not care about the residents only the bottom line. Beware.
