My sister moved to The Commons-A Promedica Senior Living Community. My first impression was that they were very friendly and we enjoyed that. There were lots of people that came up to visit and my sister was just more comfortable with them than she was in any other place. The staff is so very friendly and so helpful in so many different ways. My sister enjoys their Bible study. She is always making sure she attends to that. They also have card games and lots of other activities. They will take her to doctor's appointments if needed and different things like that, which is great for me. So, I don't have to drive there to take her personally unless I feel it's needed. The dining area is very beautiful and it's set up very nicely. When she first went to her table, she was introduced to the people at the table. There are only three of them now sitting at her table, but she enjoys the conversation with them and the food is delicious. She has no complaints about it. They have a great salad bar a couple of times a week and she enjoys that. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all satisfactory. The facility is beautiful. The value for money is excellent.

My mom will be moving into The Commons - A Promedica Senior Living Community. They offer a lot of amenities, like housekeeping, laundry, and three meals a day. The facility was nice. It was quiet and clean. The staff was wonderful and very down to earth. When I went there, it was lunch time, and the meals smelled good. They were at the dinner table enjoying themselves. If you don't want to eat downstairs, you can get your food and go upstairs in your room. They have a beauty and barber salon, Bible study, and a fitness gym that they're upgrading. They have your own laundry. They have a courtyard.

We toured The Commons - A Promedica Senior Living. They had a library. They have a computer space where you can use a computer, but they only have a couple of them. The staff there was excellent. They were very accommodating and very nice, but a lot of the areas were older. The rooms weren't as big as the other facility we went to, and it was relatively the same price.

There wasn't anything that I disliked about The Commons. I thought it was very nice and very well put together. I was impressed with the rooms that were available, and the staff was very willing to answer any questions I had. We were informed about the fact that they have an ambulatory service to get my brother-in-law to and from an appointment. We were informed my brother-in-law would have assistance with showering and laundry facilities, and anything that he actually would need they would be there to help him with.

The tour at The Commons - A Promedica Senior Living Community was very good. I really liked it. My family wasn't too happy because it's out of town. I looked at the studio, and it was small, but they had enough little rooms outside that you could sit and relax off the hallway, do puzzles, play cards, and whatever. I was really impressed with that. Everything was clean and shiny. I didn't see any dust or anything. The windows looked nice. The staff member was very pleasant, friendly, and nice. Everybody that we ran into in the hall talked to her. Everybody seemed to know her and like her. She was very good at showing me the different things and different sections.

I've seen different studio apartments at The Commons - A Promedica Senior Living Community. I like the setup as far as the closet space, the restroom, and the living room. I like that they have a maintenance person on 24-hour call for them. If you don't want to drive, they offer a free shuttle once a week. They have an in-house laundry service that would do your laundry, and then they also have it where you can do your own laundry. They have a workout room. The facility is very clean and very well-maintained. The staff is there. As far as your meal is concerned, if you feel your meal needs a different diet or it needs more spices added to it in a certain area, they will meet your needs where you're at. They have a great area where they plan daily activities, weekly activities, and monthly activities. It's a very beautiful place. The cost is cost-effective. It is nice. If you want to be on the first floor or the second floor, they will provide for you what they can. They have emergency rooms ready for you to move into. For example, if you need handrails on your shower, they will put everything in there for you before you move in. If something that you need or is not working correctly, you can still stay in that area, and then once it's fixed there, you can move into your area of living. They have assistance to help you move things. They're set up with the furniture with actual furniture. They're so helpful all the way around. From someone being a disabled vet and wheelchair bound to somebody being in a walker to somebody independent and able to walk and get around, they have everything set up. If you're independent, all the rooms have a stove and a refrigerator. They rolled out the carpet for me. It was transparent. There were no hidden costs in there. They gave me a brochure. The director called me afterward and asked me if I had any additional questions. They had maintenance people working on a room, so they're trying to bring everything up to date as they proceed. They're installing TVs in the daily room. They're improving their chapel area.

I toured The Commons - A Promedica Senior Living Community. The Commons was very nice. Difficult to find. The directions were confusing. It was a very beautiful place. It truly was. The person who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable, very pleasant, and very professional. I saw all the facilities that I believe I would be involved with. There was an elevator. The room that I wanted was $1,100 a month, which leaves nothing of any kind extra. Now, it was well worth the $1,100. If I was making $1,700 a month, I could do that. Maybe even $1,500. That's about it, really. It was comfortable. Like I saw a few residents, they just looked like they had been chained in place. It was relatively close to a Walmart.

At the Commons-A Promedica Senior Living Community, residents get a menu every week to let them know what they're going to have, and they have restaurant dining. They will come up and ask them if they want an alternative instead of what they're having. If they don't like what they're having, they can go ahead and fill that in. They've got cookouts for the residents, bonfires in the summertime for them, they can go outside and play shuffleboard, they can go and play pool there, have a wine tasting, or go out on different outings with the community. There's so many things. The lady that gave the tour was amazing. She answered all our questions and concerns and everything. They had a beautiful dining area. We didn't try any other food, but the hospitality and the cleanliness was amazing. If they don't want to sit in a room and watch their own TV, and they want to come out and mingle, they can come out. There's a lot of stuff there for them to do, and they're not going to feel like they're going to be alone. I would even put my own mom there. That's how confident I am.

I'm at The Commons - A Promedica Senior Living Community. They care. They don't lie. They're there when you need them. It's quiet. It's clean. I'm grateful. The staff is very giving, helpful, and honest. I don't have a meal plan, but they invite me on occasion, and the food is fantastic. It's safe. It's doable. It's more than I could ever ask for. They have shopping, bingo, singing, and walking. They have a variety. They take into consideration what some people can do and some can't, and try to involve as many as possible. The price is doable, so I appreciate that.

The Commons is a fabulous place. The staff is very professional and very, very caring. My apartment here is awesome. I decorated it, but they do all the maintenance and upkeep. I also enjoy the food. They have activities that are pretty much whatever a person desires. The cost is probably in the middle range. It's not necessarily the cheapest, but they are, by far, not the most expensive.

Perrysburg Commons was very nice and clean. It was a little older but very well-maintained. The person who toured us around was excellent. They had a lot of different activities for independent living, so it was very nice.
