My dad is in Alzheimer's section for men at Scenic Pointe. It's more like a prison, and he shouldn't be in there. He's in there with a lot of younger Vietnam veterans, and one of them gave him a black eye. Some of them must be violent or shell-shocked. My dad is definitely uncomfortable, and he's having to always look over his shoulder. It's a country location, and it wouldn't be too bad if they weren't locked up. There are no windows to look out of. I would never recommend it. It's unacceptable for anybody.

I thought the facility was nice and the nursing staff was very friendly. The administrative staff was a little difficult to work with, but we bothed worked together to achieve the same goal and making my mother comfortable. The staff works very hard to help my mother and make sure she's comfortable. They have a very nice dining room for the patients there and my family and I have went there many times for holiday meals. They have recreations that she can attend and my mother seems happy with the place. Anytime we want to pick her up for the day or bring her home for a few days they have a strict security measure for checking her in and out and makes sure she has all her medicine available to her as needed. They let her keep personal belonging in her room like a tv, dresser, and pictures. She also has cable in her room which she loves. All in all i think scenic pointe has been great for her as well as my family and I.
