As mentioned, I have visited this facility many times with various groups/organizations such as church groups and girl scouts, and I have never encountered any serious problems. The staff members were always friendly and cooperative. Many of the residents seem happy when I have been there and the staff seem to treat the residents well. It seems that the staff members are normally very happy to have visitors for the residents because they know how lonely the residents can be (especially around the holidays/they don't get many visitors in general). The facilities are fairly large for the area, and they are relatively nice. The amenities are basic and include a dining room/social room and some other lounge areas. This facility also has a physical therapy area where patients can receive rehabilitative care and on-sight transportation, which allows the residents to participate in trips to various places (museums, landmarks, shopping, etc). Overall, my experience with this facility has been positive.

Years ago my aunt was a resident at Overbrook and I would visit every week with my grandmother. Many nursing homes I have been to have that distinct smell to it (not pleasant) but I didn't notice that with Overbrook, and that's a plus. The nurses were always very friendly when we would visit, and my aunt was well taken care of (clean and fresh clothes too). The room itself wasn't bad either, though they could have been a bit cozier. I think the most important thing for me was that she was well cared for, clean and the nurses were friendly! I can't remember exactly what activities they had, but I do remember my aunt looking forward to certain days because of different activities. Oh, and I almost forgot, I can remember her saying the food was pretty good, I think that is rare too. Compared to the nursing home my grandma was in, Overbrook gets pretty high regards from me.
