Mentor Way Nursing & Rehab Center wasn't real modern, but I got good care there. The food was mediocre. The physical therapy department was excellent. They kept it pretty clean. I was satisfied.

I totally agree with theeyes. My mother was there from 12/2013-2/2015. This new company that has taken over is only concerned with the money and how pretty the outside looks. Not in the residents or the staff at all. Glad that my mother is in a better place now. On the evening that my Mother was on her death bed, there was only 1 nurse(please her heart) and 1 so called aide trying to care for 50 or more residents. That is just ludacris. Just because someone has a tatto or piercings does not mean they are not good workers. They have heart and care about the residents. Not like some of the people that are working there now. This facility can not keep good help now, because of the way THEY are being treated.

This nursing home has become horrible!!! My parent has been here for 4 years and since the new owners took over in August of 2014 the care and condition s in the facillity have just gone down hill!!! They fired and or the aides and nurses that actually cared and took good care of the residents have gone!!! They have two aides for an entire hall. These aides have to take residents to the bathrooms, give showers, deliver food trays, pick the food trays back upand do whatever else needs to be done. Call lights are always on, residents that have alzheimers and alarms on themselves get out of wheel chairs...alarms going off and NO ONE checking on these alarms. Just the other night I had to get 2 people back into their chairs and NO ONE was in sight!!!! My parent has had their call light on when I get there all ready, I will take them to the bathroom and have waited to see just how long it takes for someone to come. The wait time is at least 15/20 minutes from the time I get them on the toilet. There are cups & tops of food dishes from breakfast still there at 6PM. Sheets not getting changed for 2 weeks, and I know this because I have put little marks on the sheets to see just how long it takes. Clothes missing, in 4 years we have never had this problem and I have always washed their clothes. Dirty towels and clothes on the floor in the residents bathroom. I talk to the other residents also, none are happy!! My parent knows whats going on and I go at least 3 times a week and I have friends that pop in too. Just imagine the people that have no one!!!!!!!

My experience with Mentor Way Nursing Home, when concerning my family member that stayed there in her last years, was a good experience for the most part. The staff was very attentive and friendly at all hours of the day and night. When my aunt needed help, they were there right away. With medical emergencies, they were efficient and effective in transporting my aunt to the hospital in a quick and timely manner. There were absolutely no signs of neglect, a major concern for families looking for a nursing home for their loved ones. Meals and medicine were distributed on time every day, and my aunt actually enjoyed the food. The only negative thing I have to say about Mentor Way is that personal belongings sometimes go missing, but this is a common thing in most nursing homes. We would have to write her name on everything she owned. Overall, Mentor Way was a great place for my aunt to spend her last years and she enjoyed the people and activities.
