For the past 4 years Kindred has been providing total loving care for our niece. At the age of 46 she was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer's, several years prior to her caretaker mother's death. Following that death, our niece’s condition rapidly deteriorated and we could no longer maintain her in a home setting. After shopping around we determined Kindred to be the best solution for her, and entrusted her to Kindred's care, which has proven to be the absolutely correct decision. Kindred personnel have attended to the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our niece as she has continued to slip away from her children, friends, and us. Kindred staff always interact with understanding, with tender personal physical care, with comfort, and with love … knowing that she is slipping away. Kindred could not have done a better job.

The worst Facility I have ever been into in my life. The smell every time is repulsing and makes you want to vomit. Unfortunately my sister is stuck there at this time. The place needs to be shut down!! Her care is horrific and I wouldn't take my dog there.

My grandmother came to Kindred Nursing and Rehab-Community after spending 3 weeks at Riverside Hospital. She was in a very debilitated state. She was not able to sit up without support or even roll side to side in bed. Nursing did a great job monitoring her condition and was prompt in notifying her doctor with any changes, which also prevented any re-hospitalizations. Nursing was instrumental in pain management, in returned allowed therapy to address strengthening and functional mobility. The therapy department at Kindred Nursing and Rehab-Community is exceptional. In 60 days time, they were able to get her from a dependent, bed ridden state to walking out the front doors to return home with her husband. She also opted to return to Kindred for outpatient therapy to continue her recovery and to progress from a walker to cane. Keep up the GREAT WORK KINDRED!

I have been at Kindred Community for two months, The care has been super. The nurses and aides have taken good care of me during my stay. The private room I had was great. The people in therapy did a great job with my therapy. The food was awesome. I would recommend Kindred to anyone. Thanks to everyone. Sidney H

My father was at Kindred of Marion for a short stay, he had never been in a facility before and was scared. The staff made him feel welcome and allowed him to share his voice in his recovery, they were polite with him, kept him well informed of his care and progress. The therapy was very attentive to his needs & progress. The rooms were clean and odor free. The staff was always smiling. The food was wonderful, very fresh and tasty! I think my father gained ten pounds while he was there. I would recommend this facility to others, nothing better than a home atmosphere.

Hi my name is Jim. I wish to tell you in my own words why I would recommend Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation-Community for your loved one. My wife was a patient here for 11 months...from the day we arrived to the day our God in Heaven took her home. There was not any smell like there is in a lot of homes. They cleaned it well everyday. The administration was very helpful at any time I needed assistance. I cannot say enough about the nursing staff. The nurse aides...all of them went above the call of duty that were assigned. I was there every day for the duration of my wife's stay, a minimum of 11 hours per day. Everyone was treated with kindness and respect. It has now been 4 weeks since my wife went home to be with her Lord. I still stop in every 2-3 days to talk to everyone. They all seem like family to me and welcome me with open arms. I have told my son if I ever need to go somewhere for care this is where I want to be.

Upon arrival the staff was right there and very friendly and welcoming, every one from administration to nursing assistants and housekeeping. I came to Kindred mainly to have physical therapy following a total knee replacement. The therapists were all great and encouraging. They smiled at me giving me peace of mind that they wanted to be there doing there job to help me, that was big for me since this was all New to me and the pain was a very real hard pain that I had not experienced before in my leg. They all understood that and worked with me accordingly. I was only in for 11 days. The hard work and encouragement by not only just therapy but any employee that saw me in the halls walking, just a keep up the good work or you are doing so good, encouragement helped to push me on and able to go home so quickly. Thank you so much to every one for all you care and help and encouragement. I deeply appreciate it. Anyone needing good care of any kind can feel assured of getting it at Kindred Nursing Care in Marion, Ohio.

Kindred has been very patient and understanding with my family. This is the first time any one in our family has needed to stay in a facility like this. I find that the staff, nurses, aides and workers have all been knowledgeable, patient and caring. My mother ,who is the resident, can be cantankerous at times. This does not seem to bother the staff. They try to make my mother understand what they are doing-without being hurtful or abusive . I appreciate all the excellent treatment to my family and myself.

Thank you Kindred for the excellent care I received during my stay for physical therapy. The therapists did an excellent job of preparing me to go home. The nursing staff was very caring and helpful. I had some very tasty food. Everyone worked together for my quick recovery and return to home. If I should ever need a nursing care facility again I will come back for your quality care.

I have a father at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation and like the fact that I no longer worry about if he is taking his medications or when. There are many activities for the residents to choose from including all holiday celebrations. In my dad's case he has the ability and freedom to go outside for fresh air and sunshine at his leisure. The staff is very polite when I call and I appreciate the fact that Kindred does care conferences and that I am notified with any issues, medication changes, etc.

I would highly recommend this facility! They have a very clean and home like atmosphere. The food is excellent. Your medications are on time and they are friendly with your care. I believe therapy saved my life. Therapy works hard to improve your health, you just have to want to get better.

I have been very happy with what I have experienced since moving my sister in law Sharon to your facility. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and all have done what they possibly could to make her comfortable. The meals are plentiful and she says they are good. The nursing staff is also good at keeping the family informed of what is going on with her. I am impressed that a lot of the staff have been employed there for many years.

I had some friends at Community Healthcare Center that was why I visited this place. It was okay but old. It did not seem comfortable inside. The atmosphere was gloomy. Cleanliness should be improved.
