I like that Elison Assisted Living & Memory Care of Marietta is very clean. They're very respectful to my parents. I particularly like how dining is handled. They are served restaurant style, and they have an opportunity to order. The place always smells good. There are always activities. It was just different than other facilities we went to. My parents' apartment is a large studio, and it's not exactly what they would like. They would like to have a divided space where the bedroom was a separate room. However, it's OK. The staff members have been very kind and very helpful, and they got back to us in a very quick manner. We have been pleased with them. I haven't tried the food, but my dad has actually wanted to eat at the facility instead of going out to eat, so that's a testament to how good it is. My dad is a dialysis patient, but we still have not been able to secure transportation three days a week to dialysis, and that's my only complaint. They haven't been able to see a doctor either, so I'm trying to establish a primary care position for them in Marietta. But other than that, the staff has been very helpful. Some of the nurses have been fantastic. And then the cafeteria staff have been wonderful. Because of dialysis, my dad has gotten back late from dialysis where the dining hours are over, but without grumbling, they've served him, and they've accommodated his needs.

I went to look at Elison Assisted Living & Memory Care of Marietta. The staff was extremely nice. He was extremely polite and explained everything well. The facility was immaculately clean. I like the way everything was put in black and white. It was just really nice. They have all kinds of different crafts and outings for the residents. Most of the people have been there for five years or longer, so I like that aspect.

I toured Elison Assisted Living & Memory Care of Marietta. It seemed everything was clean. I met some of the residents and they seemed to be satisfied. The room that I saw was like a nicer and larger hotel room. It was not an apartment, it was just like a bigger hotel room that's got a little kitchen area in it with a microwave and a place for a coffee maker. It had plenty of room for a bed, a small couch, a TV, a TV cabinet, and a dresser. The dining area was very large and nicely decorated. They celebrate everybody's birthday once a week. They take them out to different places to see nature. They go to a place called The Wilds, which is like a Safari-type place. They do crafts and plant flowers in the spring.

It is a very homey place. It's neat and clean. The employees have been exceptionally friendly and supportive as I've been trying to move my brother from Nevada to Ohio. The residents are fairly active. They were having a party for one of the staff members when we went there. The residents were making a banner, and there's a dominoes group at another spot. They also have physical therapy onsite and a library. I've known others that have been there in the past, and they had a positive experience too.

It was very airy, and it was very nice setting. The rooms were nice, and the people were very pleasant. They seemed to have a very good range of activities to keep the residents occupied. It had a nice, open sitting area, and you could easily walk around the outside grounds with no trouble.

It looked very accommodating and clean. The people seemed very friendly, and the staff who assisted me was nice. I probably would have stayed at this facility had I stayed in Marietta.
