My mom is in assisted living at Kessler Estates Senior Living. She is doing well. She had just moved in there on Saturday. The staff would come in and introduce themselves. They tried to get them involved in some of the social activities. They've done well. For my mom's dogs, they put up a spotlight out in the yard, so when she goes out at night to take the dogs out, it shows right away. They're putting up a chair for her to sit down on while the dogs are outside. They bent over backward to try to help her. Today, she is excited. She is going to Arby's with a bunch of them. She said that everybody is just so nice. My mom plays the piano and they're going to get her involved with that. Yesterday, they came two or three times to the door, and they were always doing something. They have at least five or six activities on the board. As soon as you walk in the door, there are people around there. There's someone that has to let you in, you can't go in and out without being let in, which I like. It's just really a nice place. It's beautiful inside. The people all seem happy there, too. It's really clean. It doesn't smell. It's an attractive place. They are a lot cheaper than the home where we came from. That's one reason we moved her to this facility.

Kessler Estates Senior Living was a very nice place. It was very clean and recently remodeled. The people were very nice. The room I thought was very nice. It's a small place. It doesn't hold more than 50 to 55 patrons at a time, so it's not overcrowded. There's a lot of things for them to do. Whatever you want, they got it. They have memory care, they have assisted living, and they have housekeeping.

Kessler Estates has much to offer. My mother is in the Memory Care Unit in this facility. Kessler staff work hard to keep Mom safe, healthy and happy. The caring staff gets Mom cleaned, dressed and ready to begin her day. Mom needs that help and they treat her with kindness and dignity. Amy, the head of this particular unit, shares her laughter and perkiness with each resident and makes them smile as she links arms with residents needing a little assistance coming for their meals. Amy lists daily activities on the board for anyone wanting to know. The staff in memory care encourage the residents to participate in activities such as Name Ten, Bingo, Corn Hole, Daily Chronicles, etc. Some residents don't join in but they are still stimulating their minds by watching and listening. I enjoy viewing these moments in the community room and seeing people smile and talk. They are like a neighborhood in this unit and I like to watch Mom interact or just observe. The people will not remember but they will enjoy the moment and I appreciate what this staff does for my mother and the other folk in Memory Care. This unit has its own secured courtyard where my mom can view the flowers. The courtyard is a great place to visit with loved ones. The maintenance staff just rebuilt the pergola this spring and put up an awning to give the residents much needed shade. It's a delightful area to enjoy or view from inside as you watch a chipmunk scurry up a sunflower to get a meal of seeds! The compassionate nurses are so kind to Mom as they watch her take her meds for Mom has been know to hide meds... I so appreciate that the nurses know all the tricks and so they hide pills in applesauce or give treats to make sure Mom stays healthy. Mother has a choice of two meals and Mom never complains about her food though the dementia folk do love their sweets! Mom is always pleased to see her favorite, Texas Sheet cake and ice cream. Mom has gone on outings with Amy and staff and I love when Mom gets to go on field trips even if its just to see the changing seasons. Their world becomes very small and its wonderful for our loved ones to enjoy and view life from the van and relax. I feel Kessler employees try to listen to the needs of the residents and treat them with love, kindness and the respect they deserve. Thank you and God Bless You!

It is a very hard decision when a family member needs full time care. I could not have picked a better place for my father. His memory was failing and I worried about him all the time. He would forget to eat, he was falling down, he would forget his medications and lose everything. I have such peace now that he is in such good hands. My father is checked in on at least 7 times a day. He eats his meals with folks his own age. He enjoys talking with folks his own age. They have a bus and go out on outings and have many in house activities. My father is more social now, compared to when he lived alone. He may not remember all the activities that he is doing but he laughs and has fun while he is doing them. That is what is important. He is living a different life now, but he is still living and enjoying companionship of others his own age. If he was living at my home he would be bored sitting on couch all day. He still has living to do and Kessler Estates provides that for him. I am so thank for them. The care is wonderful. The employees are specialist with the elderly and are so kind and patient with the residents. I am so thankful for all of them and would not have my father live any where else, his deserves to be around others and have daily activities!!! My father can see his family doctor, Podiatrist and Physical Therapist right at Kessler Estates when needed, he also can have his labs drawn at Kessler Estates also, so helpful. My father is elderly and still living life, he is not sitting in a home all alone. Thank you Kessler Estates for all you do!!! Sherri Bishop RN BA

It was very hard making the decision to move Mom to assisted living. But from the very first interaction with the Kessler Estates team, they made the decision much easier. They were extremely helpful, accommodating, and patient while we worked out the details. Once Mom was moved in and settled, her quality of life increased tenfold. She went from sleeping 18+ hours a day and little interaction with others, to being a social butterfly! It's been amazing to witness. She likes to participate in all of the activities they offer, from bingo, movie days, shopping excursions and more. It has been such a great experience for all of us. They have a great family atmosphere and take personal interest in every resident. We highly recommend Kessler Estates for your loved ones.

My dad moved to Kessler Estates Senior Living. The place is a nice facility, it looks like. They were quick and very helpful in getting us the info we needed and getting him in there as quickly as we needed to get him in there. Everybody was very, very helpful. He's got a nice little studio apartment, that's very clean and well-maintained. I was allowed to go visit him when he first moved in and I'm going to see him this weekend for the first time since he's moved in. It's a very nice facility that fits all our needs. In terms of value for the money, it costs a pretty penny.

We had a very good visit. The person that we spoke to was very helpful. I only met with residents in passing as we toured, but they all seemed very content with where they were. It was a pleasant experience when they spoke with me. They had very many amenities. They even had a garden area that residents could help in planting and tending to it. It was very clean and very bright. The building was very nice. I think I had visited there many years ago when I was looking for a place for my mother, and they have done a lot of remodeling since then.

My mom was in here. What's good about them was that they had a dementia unit. The dining area seemed nice to me. My mom's room was very nice. We brought our own furniture and set it up like her house. They had nice hallways. The director was a very loving, caring person. The rooms didn't have cooking facilities.

I really liked my visit. I would definitely recommend it simply because it was very clean and the staff was very helpful. It’s small and has a homelike atmosphere. The rooms were not that small. It was more like an efficiency apartment. There was no separate bedroom. It was just all a bathroom and a larger area for a bed and table. There was also a big window, so there’s more light in the room. As far as I know, they did a lot of activities. I didn't try the food, but the dining room was fine. I like the fact that the memory area was separated and there weren't too many people. Each person can get individual care. I was very happy with it.
