Taylor Place is a little community here. Everybody knows everybody else. And if they don't see somebody for breakfast, they'll ask the nurses to go check up on them. So it's almost like a family here. The staff is very caring. During my shower, the nurse's aide who was helping me noticed that I had a couple of big bruises from an anti-clotting medication. She mentioned that to the nurse practitioner here, and she came right down and checked it out and asked me what was going on and so forth. They noted it and the nurse practitioner was right on, so I would give them an excellent rating on that one. With regard to the food, for a small assisted living, it's pretty good. As for cleanliness, it's pretty good. They have bingo and church services. I haven't attended anything yet because I'm still trying to get all my pills since I'm doing my own medication.

The important qualities about Taylor Place from my perspective as the daughter of a resident is the size--less frightening for my Mom; she was quickly able to make new friends; the friendly staff; and the wonderful Activities Director who has lots of fun and unique things for the residents to do from crafts to gardening to games!

My wife is in Taylor Place. It's one floor and it's a homey facility. They said they would take care of her until hospice. She has her own little studio. They come in and check on her every two hours. They put her on a clock for the bathroom because she can't tell you when to go (she has Alzheimer's), but she seems to get along pretty good in there. She is getting the care that she needs. They all seem to be good to her. My wife makes the people laugh and everybody gets along pretty good. She's able to feed herself and she seems to clean up her plate. It doesn't seem to bother, she eats whatever.
