Brookdale Kettering was very nice. It was just a lovely place. There are plenty of places for people to go and do stuff. The staff was professional and very nice. I liked that each of the residents in the independent living had an external exit and an internal entrance to their place. They have a little outside patio, and it was screened in. They have a couple of different floor plans to choose from. The facility was very clean and spacious. The dining arrangement was very nice.

I toured Brookdale Kettering. The facility is older. They didn't have all the services. They had independent living and assisted living. They didn't have memory care. However, I had a pleasant visit. The lady I met was fine. She was very cordial and helpful. I saw the dining room, and that was nice. I visited an apartment, and the only thing that I was concerned about is they have a screened-in porch, it's three steps from your living room down into it, and I didn't like that. I wasn't overall impressed with the facility. If I'm looking at that and I have any physical issues, that would be a concern, going down three stairs. However, the price was reasonable. It was in my ballpark.

I wasn't impressed with Brookdale Kettering. The floor squeaked loud. They had a screened-in porch, which was nice, but you had to go down steps, so anyone that has a walker couldn't use that. I wasn't impressed with the rooms. They were very small, and they didn't have enough storage. For extra money, I could have rented a storage downstairs, but I didn't want to do that. We weren't interested at all. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. However, I didn't see any of the residents walking around. The whole area was empty. The staff said they had activities. They mainly had board games, card games, and that kind of stuff. They had an exercise bicycle, but it was out in the hallway. In a different hallway, they had another one, but you had to stand out in the hallway to use it. No TV, no music, or anything to go with it. The dining area seemed very nice. It was large with tablecloths, napkins, and flowers. It was past dinnertime, so they sent us some food home to try. The food was very good.

The staff at Brookdale Kettering was professional, courteous, and willing to answer questions. I saw their common areas, areas where they have crafts, and the library. I saw the dining area, and it looked nice and clean. I didn't taste any food. I saw the menu and it looked like they had a lot of nice variety. I think that they need to do some updating. They need a facelift somewhat.

Brookdale Kettering was outdated. The room that they had available for my dad caused safety concerns. They need to update things. The carpentry in the apartment was probably from the 70s. The bedroom that I saw had a decent size. The staff was very friendly. They had a gym and a salon. Because it's old, it's very difficult to know if it's dirty or not. The facility was located fairly close to hospitals and close to shopping.

My dad stayed at Brookdale Kettering. I thought the atmosphere was very welcoming and it felt like home. He really enjoyed the room he had because he had a one-bedroom and a patio where he could look outside, and it felt like home to him. So, that was very nice. The staff was very kind and I think they did a good job. I really had a good rapport with everyone I talked to. They had activities and I saw residents out in the dining area enjoying trivia and bingo. It's an older building, and I think they've done their best to keep it up-to-date, but it could be improved a little bit. It was clean, no doubt about that, but it just seemed so worn out. It's not like it needs to be fancy, but sometimes it looked like it was just lacking in care and upkeep.

Brookdale Kettering had steps everywhere in the assisted living apartments, which was not going to work for somebody like my mother-in-law. They also had a little patio attached to the assisted living apartment that you had to go down the steps. It was an older facility and some of the steps were cracked and broken. It just didn't seem very updated to me and very safe. The staff I met seemed OK though.

The staff and the residents of Brookdale Kettering are all very friendly. Things ran very smoothly here. One of the things that sold me on this place is we get two meals a day and enough food to carry over for the third meal. We get to pick which meals and the menu is tremendous. Food tastes like home. It's got everything I need. I've got a washer and dryer in the hallway that's just almost across the aisle and I got free cable TV which brings in lots of stations right off the bat. Every room has a patio, too. We do chair exercise class, bingo, happy hour with music every Friday, bands, a pool table, and transportation to the doctor. I have not found anything I don't like. The facility is very adequate at all levels. There's a patio out back with a stage and you can order alcoholic drinks, beer, or wine. There's a coffee and pop machine and they have juices that are available all the time. You can just come down and get something to drink. I have gone through a menu meeting where if we have complaints, they work on it or if there's something that we would like added to the menu, they will try to incorporate that. Anything you ask for, they are very helpful. The maintenance guys came in and put together the lamps for me. One of the ladies helped me this morning with some paperwork I had to fill out.

My mom is going to be moving into Brookdale Kettering. She is going to go into the independent living with a little assistance. I like that there were a lot of residents walking around the facility. It wasn't like a ghost town; there was life there. It was very clean, very inviting, and very comfortable. There were several staff who assisted me, and they were very, very helpful. They seemed very excited about helping me get my mom situated, whether it was with them or not. They had a library where people were sitting in and reading. There's a lot of lobbies throughout the building, but there was another lobby where there were jigsaw puzzles laid out. We also passed the craft room, where they do a lot of sculpting and different crafts like that, so we got to see some of the setup for that. The rooms are great for the price. They are set up for my mom's needs. They're definitely taking the fact that she's an 80-year-old woman who uses a walker a lot into account with the setup of the rooms. It was very accommodating. She has a living room, a bedroom, and a suite type deal. I liked it a lot, and it was fairly modern. I loved their little patios in their suites.

The tour at Brookdale Kettering was wonderful. Mary Beth, the sales consultant, was fabulous and she didn't so much care about getting the beds filled as she did with helping us with our situation. The place offers things that other places don't have, like screened-in porches and apartment-style living. She went over and over to reassure how they try to engage each new person every single day with activities and meeting people and stuff like that. I liked her. The dining area looks nice. They weren't serving in the dining area when we were there because of COVID, but there was a food truck that was going by and it just was very pleasing. They had a lot of offerings for food. One thing that warmed my heart was they had these canisters, lots of beverages. And then on the back, they had white wine and red wine. It's nice that people of their age still have an offering to be comfortable and have the basics of all of life. It was nice to see that they could have wine with their dinner if they wanted. It just shows that they care about them being happy. They have a calendar that we reviewed, every single day they have 4-5 activities going on. With COVID right now, it's a little bit limited, but there's a library, there's a craft room, and every day something's going on. There's a puzzle area, they go out for ice cream and there's Friday night happy hour. There are also exercise options each day. There's a lot and I was happy with them. It's the most modern and state-of-the-art, but I truly believe that they're very, very sincere. We've seen some of the residents walking, stopped and talking, and they all were raving about the place and happy. They're genuinely concerned about the well-being of their patients.

We went to Brookdale Kettering. I liked the fact that they served two meals a day, that it was neat and clean, and that each apartment had its own patio. They had nice washer facilities, and everything looked nice. Kirsten was very accommodating and very helpful. She has since been even more helpful trying to get us in there. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and very accommodating to anybody that came through the door. It was nice.

I did a tour of Brookdale Kettering. You don't get a lot of space in the rooms for the money, and it just seemed kind of dark, not very well lit. The floors are kind of older, so it almost feels like you're walking on a fake floor. It's like they put a floor over top of something else. The spaces that they do have were nice. A lot of them have a back screened-in patio, like a sunroom almost; that was kind of nice. They do independent living in an assisted living; I don't think they have any memory care. They're both the same, the apartments are the same. You just add in the level of care with the apartment. But you could do both in the same room. It has a good location; it's just really old and dated. They need more lighting, it's just dark; maybe a little bit of updating on the rooms themselves. Some of them are just old, they just need some updating, overall.

We went to Brookdale Kettering. It was nice. It had a lot of perks or pluses to it. My friend is not sure of the location yet because her son lives in Centreville and she wants to be close to him. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. They answered our questions. The facility itself was very nice, clean, modern, and roomy. It had a nice screened-patio and that was all pluses. There seemed to be a lot of amenities and they seemed to be convenient.

The only plus about Brookdale Kettering over the others would have been that they each had a patio even though it was down two steps. As of now, I can still negotiate it. Otherwise, it didn't look as bright and airy. I think the one giving the tour wasn't accustomed to it and didn't do as good of a job presenting, and the presentation is so important. They were all on one floor, and some rooms are located fairly far from activities, food, and the entrance. They just weren't as nicely appointed. It was not real impressive, but it's livable. The staff was a substitute and she didn't do the smooth job that the others did.

I toured Brookdale Kettering for my dad, and it was a nice community. It was beautiful, it was clean, and the residents looked happy. The one who assisted me on the tour was very sweet, and she knew what she was talking about. They have puzzles, games, and they also have trips.

We have been very pleased with the overall services, support and facility at Brookdale. The staff are genuine, caring and responsive. My Mom has always felt welcomed and supported. The facility is an older building but the maintenance and facility staff give it a lot of love to make it cozy, safe, and functional. My Mom loves the meals in the dining room and the activities, the Friday Happy Hours with live music and socializing. The staff are the best part - Tiffani leads an amazing team of caring professionals.

My mom is at Brookdale Kettering. I think it's really nice. The people that work there are really nice. My mom has a nice place to live there. The only thing she's ever complained about is the food. Part of that even may have to do with the fact that they're having to serve everybody in their room. The food was better before but since the pandemic, they've been having to eat in their rooms and she said it's unrecognizable. She doesn't like it and that's not very good. I have made that a priority when I check with everybody now about food. Everybody likes different food. My mom is kind of like a bland eater and if it's got onions or too much stuff in it, she's just not a fan of it. She has a beautiful apartment. They have the same kind of activities. They have bingo, happy hour on Fridays, and cards. She's not a big participant in most of those things. Just minus in the food, I would give it a 4, otherwise, I would give it a 5. I think it's a really nice place. It's a lovely community, they're very nice and they're good to my mom. I can call them and knocked themselves out, so it's really nice.

When my relative first moved there they were on the independent living side and even though it wasn't perfect it was good for them. Now since moving to the assisted living side its really sad. The room is more expensive and the room is disgusting. I wonder if they even get a bath their fingernails are dirty and they always smell. Getting help takes at least 20 minutes sometimes longer. I wish I was in control because they would be with me and a nurse and hospice could come to me. Its awful!!!

I liked everything about Brookdale Kettering. The staff was very friendly, good, and very nice. I loved the grounds and I liked the location because it's close to a shopping center. They have lots of transportation there for people. The room I saw was nice, but it had a carpet, which I don't like, but they told me they have a room with no carpets.

Brookdale Kettering was very nice. The staff and facilities were very nice. The dining room looked very nice and the residents said it's very good and diverse. They have an activities center and an activities director, and it looked like it would be very nice for somebody who enjoys arts and crafts and stuff. The staff member was very nice, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. It has some wonderful amenities that some places don't have.

The Brookdale Kettering community is like nowhere I have ever been. My husband has Parkinson's and goes there once a week for an hour for physical therapy. The first time we went there, we were stunned by the genuine warmth of the residents who passed us, and it was the same every time he went for therapy. We were so impressed with Brookdale that on our way out the first time, I inquired for an apartment even though we weren't looking. We wound up looking at an apartment the next week. I was impressed. After that, the leasing agent asked if she could send home some sandwiches with us because by then it was 4:00, and she would up pack a whole dinner for us. Later, she made an appointment for us to have dinner there, and it was lovely. The food was fine, and the setting was warm and congenial. It's an extraordinary place.

Brookdale Kettering is a nice community with decent facilities. The care staff seems to be knowledgeable, nice, and willing to help out. The rooms are nice and small, but if you're living alone, then that's all you'll need. The location is very convenient. It's an older place, but they keep it up really well. They have a lot of activities going on all the time.

Grand Court is very nice, but the problem we have is the money. It’s just too expensive for us to have my mom going to it right now. The rooms are very well maintained. They’re smaller than what I would hope for because she’s coming from a 3-bedroom house. The kitchens are never very big, but suitable.

Grand Court is very old. I did not like it. The rooms are big and spacious, but the interior was out of date. The assisted living area has no life at all. I didn't see anybody out and about. In the front part where they had the independent living, there were people out and about, but there was nothing going on at the back. It was old, and it was not alive. The person who was supposed to give us our tour was late. It wasn't that long, but it wasn't a good thing. She was nice and knowledgeable even though she hasn't been there that long. I didn't see any interaction between the staff and the residents there. There was no friendly, cordial atmosphere. They were not greeting them when she met them which was important to me. I wouldn't put anybody there. They need to update their facility and modernize it.

I visited Grand Court Dayton for my mother. I only talked to one person, and she was very nice. The whole facility itself was on one level, but it was extremely large and my first thought was my mother will get totally lost going around here, and she probably will end up just staying in her room and not trying to venture out. It was a little overwhelming. They had a very large dining area. The day I was there, there was a man and lady singing and they had a lot of people in there watching; they actually came from other nursing homes to watch. The place was clean. One thing I noticed is, as soon as I pulled in there, the parking situation was not really good. I had a hard time finding a place to park. Regarding location, it is very conveniently located to the new mall, it is close to I-675 and there are a lot of restaurants there.

My grandparents were here for the last 6 months an during that time the staff here were negligent and lazy. Meds were not given on time an sometimes not at all. Diabetic diets were not followed and my grandfather had several falls. Even after multiple trips to the hospital and beig labeled a fall risk he was not given a wheelchair alarm and was left for hours unattended. The last fall left him looking like he was in a boxing match and lost. The Grand court seemed uninformed about the care my grandparents needed and nickel and dined them for services needed. Overall I would put my wort enemy in this or any other brookdale facility. They have been moved to a competent facility and are happy and healthy.

Grand Court was large, homey looking, and spread out. They have patios, and it was all on the ground level. The person who was giving us the tour was new, so she couldn’t answer a lot of questions. They were having renovations when we were there, so they were on top of things.

Grand Court Dayton is a very large facility and very clean. The dining room was big, and the gathering spaces were also big. They look more independent overall. The staff are very attentive, and I never felt that they were just showing what they wanted me to see. They also continuously followed up with me. The rooms actually seem fine. It would have been more of what my dad was looking for, and if I was looking for something, I would consider living there.

We like Grand Court Dayton. They have multiple dining rooms. They have a series of smaller dining rooms, so you can eat in groups. They have two kinds of rooms. They have just a bedroom with a little bit of a kitchen, and then they have a one-bedroom. The staff was good.

I was at Grand Court when I had my neck surgery. Everything was great. It was fine, I was comfortable there. They came in and checked on me, gave me plenty of towels and changed my sheet regularly. They let me have my dog there. One even wanted to walk my dog for me. The food was pretty good, but I didn’t really eat a lot of their food. My room had a little kitchenette, so I could have some of my own food. I made a lot of smoothies, fruits and vegetables were always on my diet. The bathroom was great. They had a nice handicapped bathroom, it was easy to use. But, when I first got there, I had to wipe off the counter. It wasn't clean as I like it. Also, you're supposed to have all the things you need in the kitchen, there was not a lot. I didn’t like their pans, it seemed old and dirty so I had to get my own.

Grand Court Dayton was the facility where my mom stayed. The location was very nice. It had a homey environment and she felt more at home. She got a whole apartment for a good price. She liked to look out at the flowers and it had a very scenic view from her living room. She also had a patio where she went out and got fresh air. The food was good too. And the staff was attentive and they did more for her like the laundry and housekeeping every week.

Grand Court Dayton is a great place. The place is clean. If I was gonna be going to a place, I think this facility I would choose. The main thing that caught my eye originally was the little patio areas that they have there. I have both a small dog and a cat and they said they would accept that.

Grand Court Dayton is a five star facility because it is the best in the area. I like the facility, particularly, the menu and the dining, they have a monthly menu and daily menu and there are choices of soup, salads, all kinds of desserts and side dishes and nice selection every day. They got everything here that the others have and more. They only problem I have is the delay in maintenance. But I would recommend Grand Court Dayton to everyone.

Mom loves being at Grand Court. I think they're all very friendly. They keep the residents engaged which is important. But she doesn't like the food. She said it's unseasoned. I think it just needs to be more tasteful. And it would be nice if they have an outside area just to sit. My mom has made a lot of friends there.

I went to the facility to visit a friend of my mom who is a resident there. I was pretty much pleased with what i saw going on there. The residents were well looked after. The facility did however need a little sprucing up. There was paint peeling on a couple of walls, but not bad.The care givers did seem to be enjoying their jobs. They were more than happy to interact with the residents. I would say on an overall average they went beyond normal to insure the residents cumfort and needs were taken care of. The medication and meals were delivered ontime and with a smile.
