The rehabilitation floor: Not the place it once was. Dirty, tired and very poor patient care. My relative has been moved to a much better facility. I would not take my worst enemy there.

Wexner was all inclusive because it was an assisted living plus a senior living facility. They could stay in the assisted living facility even if they started to get worse, and they had the nursing care there, so they did not have to move into the nursing part. They kept them there as long as they could, which was nice. It was a month-to-month type thing. You would not have to buy in. They had a health staff there at the facility, plus gerontologist on staff, and they were looking for a neurologist, too. It was licensed to be assisted living and also nursing care. The rooms had a nice walk-in, huge shower with all of the safety bars. They said they started as a senior facility, but they could not fill all the places, so they converted it into assisted living, too, but it was outstanding. It's for somebody who was looking for a really spectacular place. Of course, you do not have to be Jewish to go there. They accept all denominations. They even had a pool and was right next to a theater and an art center. It had an open campus, so the people who did not need a lot of assistance could walk around the campus. It was a very comfortable environment. There was a park nearby, so they could see the kids playing and campers. It was like a community of all different sorts of people.

They were very friendly and easy to get along with in Wexner Heritage. It is so big, and they do it all. The patients appreciate the place and are taken care of wonderfully. It’s a very nice, clean place, and the food was much better than in other places I've visited.

My very best friend in all the world is in there and I can tell you that my dog gets better treatment! From having a dirty ROOM to being very dirty himself! Totally uncalled for. I was just there today and needed to use his bedside table to fill out some papers, and had to wash it off because it was SO NASTY! Sticky and even had last weeks chocolate pudding STILL on it! He never get his deodorant put on. There have been days I have got there and his call light is not working until I go to the desk and say something. I have found him laying on the bed with his sheet off the bottom and his legs just laying on that hot mattress. Speaking of mattress no wonder the poor man is always so hot ......there is so much heat coming from his bed he feels like he is cooking. I have found sores on his head from where they have hit his head into the rails. There is so much more about things that where told to us that never carried through ..I will never EVER put anyone in this place not even my dead dog.

Wexner was excellent but very expensive and didn't have any openings at the time. I thought the rooms would be just right for my daughter. It was very nice. It looked like it was a wonderful facility from what I gathered from going in to see it and talking the people there. I was given the brochure to further look into the accommodations. The people working there were very nice. It was close to us, and I would have loved my daughter to stay there, but they were too expensive and full.

Wexner Heritage Village feels elegant, and it's sophisticated. It is a place to live and not a place to die. The staff is smart, zappy. The rooms and the dining room are very elegant and also well appointed. It was a good fit for this particular individual. It's very personal in that respect.

Mom has been at Wexner for about six months. She was in rehab and then she had moved into the long term care side. The Jewish affiliation was somewhat important. I'm very pleased with the staff. The food, I'm impressed with. They have some problems in the kitchen in regard to serving, but as far as the food itself, it's nutritious, it's wonderful, it's tasty. They do have some things, mom is not partaking of anything at this point, but they've got some musical entertainers coming in or bingo and things like that. No place is absolutely perfect, but I'm impressed with them. I didn't have any negative things about it.

The first thing that needs to be commended about this facility first and foremost is the staff. I can only imagine how stressful working in this type of envoirnment can get at times, yet every experience I can remember with staff was sincerely cordial and caring. Everything was taken care of in a prompt, reasonable manner and they seemed to really pay attention to detail, a great indicator of passion for what those involved were doing. Another great trait was cleanliness, another attribute I'm sure isn't easy to attain in a facility at all times of day, yet everything in the regard was always kept in tip-top shape as far as I could tell and hear. Overall, there's just a general sense that the people working there are not there first and foremost for a job and paycheck, but to genuinely help those in residence there. The general look and feel of the interior is very warm and pleasant, more hotel-like than nursing home, and while not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, must be a welcome comfort to those residing and working there. The only negative of note I can think of was that it had a bit of a confusing layout, mostly that places were not centralized or funneled in well, but that may be more subjective than anything else. Very good-Great facility overall.

I struggled with making the decision of where to take my grandmother. She tends to be very particular on her care and won't settle for just being put in any kind of place. When I found Wexner Heritage Village, I knew that it was the perfect place for her. The entire staff there is exceptional. I don't just mean the nurses and doctors, but everyone from assistants to kitchen staff. My grandmother's needs are always met and her expectations keep getting exceeded. There have been a few rare occasions in which there was an issue, but every issue she encountered were handled by the charge nurse and/or the administrator. Every detail was paid attention to and any time family made plans to come see here, they accommodated us beyond what we would have imagined. I recommend this facility to anyone looking for a quality assisted living facility to put their family members in. It's already a difficult and painful experience but it makes it less so dealing with such an exceptional place.

I was an in-patient in March 2011, following full replacement of the right knee. My primary concern was rehabilitation, and had physical therapy daily, sometimes twice a day. The therapists were excellent, and I recovered well enough to go home after 12 days. I learned not only how to walk on the new knee (assisted by a walker), but how to climb stairs, up and down, as well as take full care of bathing, dressing...all functions. My only complaint was that of the food preparation; it is my understanding that it has since improved! I cannot give enough praise to the nursing and rehab staffs!
