Brookdale Finneytown's staff is excellent, so warm, courteous and welcoming. My mom's room is kept clean and it's very nice. The activities were great like an entertainer coming in to sing and asking residents to sing along. They had a couple of common areas and there's an area where they have an activity table with things for them just to fiddle with, different stations with clothes from their early period that they can actually put on, and a bassinet with a baby. They also had a TV and a birdcage. The facility itself is beautiful and it was such an enjoyable and pleasurable experience to place my mother there.

I toured Brookdale Finneytown. It was a little newer and a little larger than the others. The staff were very nice and very professional. It's clean and I like the structure and the layout. It's a little better than some of the others. The room was adequate. The dining area was fine. They did a good job of walking me around.

I toured Brookdale Finneytown. The people were very friendly and very nice. The building was older and not as nice as the other newer facilities are. They were in the middle of renovating when I toured. Overall, I think they were really good. The staff member who gave the tour was very nice, very friendly and very accommodating. I went to their dining area, but I did not have a chance to try their food. Their staff seemed very interactive with the patients in the dining area. It seemed lively and friendly. The place was clean and good, but it was outdated at the time. They had a nice fenced-in courtyard. The staff were all welcoming and very nice.

We chose Brookdale Finneytown for my parents. We like the size of the rooms. We're comfortable with the people we met there. A big part of it was that they were willing to do tube feeding for my dad. They have activities. They're remodeling the entire front lobby, so it's a construction zone right now. I saw the dining room, and it looked nice. There were construction workers still painting. The staff members were very friendly and knowledgeable.

Brookdale Finneytown was clean and very personable. I was able to talk to some of the residents and they were very happy with the way things were going. The staff answered all of our questions. She was very knowledgeable and willing to make sure that she showed us all the area. We had lunch with them. They gave us a choice of what we wanted. They had a menu of what they were offering, and I met the chef who personally came over to our table. She talked about the way things were set up and how they do the meals. I saw one bedroom and it was nice and cozy. It had a walk-in shower and a bedroom. They also had a gazebo outside.

I liked that Brookdale Finneytown was clean. It was bright. I think it's a two-story building. I liked it a whole lot. The girl that I spoke with was very nice. There was a receptionist there. The two that I met were great.

I visited Brookdale Finneytown just to see if my mother needed more care, but I didn't like it at all. I thought it was very depressing. I think it would be nice for somebody who needed that care. But my mother's not there yet, so I think she would be really unhappy because the people there are not in the same condition she's in. The place itself was nice. It's for someone who needs more care than my mom does. I was disappointed about the lack of garden and outdoor space to sit in. I think that's extremely important to have a beautiful place to go outside, and I was very disappointed with that. They just don't have nice gardens. And the units, the apartment rooms were just horrible. They were just small, and her beautiful furniture would not fit in there. The dining hall looked okay. It didn't have enough windows. I just felt like everything was just not bright enough. I think people need light and sunshine and beautiful places to sit. I think that's very important for all of our mental health. And I just didn't see that at Brookdale. I liked the people. The person who gave me the tour was so nice. The people seemed very nice and I think they take good care of their residents. Everything was clean.

We've gone to Brookdale Finneytown. I liked it because they had a lot of medical people there all the time, 24 hours, and if there was a problem, there was somebody there, they have RNs. I thought it was a nice-looking place, and they seemed to be clean. Aesthetically it was nice, and from what I could see, the nursing staff was up to level, and the health program they have seems to be online. I think they keep the place nice, they're average-sized for a one-bedroom, they normally don't vary over twenty or thirty square feet from one place to another. They offered to take them to doctor's appointments, and they have outside areas where they can sit in the gardens. They offered a la carte menus if you want it that way or you can have the one that they prepare every day. And they offered to have it brought to the room if you need it. They have beauty salons, rec rooms, and activities rooms.

The staff members at Brookdale Finneytown were very friendly. She talked about the services that they provide, and they have some good community activities. Their amenities are not fancy. They're basic, and they don't have any super fancy amenities there. The meals are included as to the cost of the services. They have a community room, a little library area, and a few places to sit outside.

My mother is getting good care and eating well at Brookdale Finneytown. We've never stepped foot in it because of the virus, but the staff keeps us updated on her health and her care. In terms of value for the money, it's comparable with everybody else, and the staff has been fine.

Brookdale Finneytown was kept clean, the response to the elderly was very quick when I noticed that they needed attention, and there was a very low staff to resident ratio. I only saw the room they already set up, that I wasn't too fond of, because I really wanted to see what they did hands-on and how the residents took care of their rooms. The dining area was very nice. The atmosphere was very nice, it was peaceful, and quiet.

Brookdale Finneytown had both assisted living and memory care. It seemed nice, and the staff was friendly. It was clean, but it seemed very worn and needed some paint, things needed to be replaced, and needed to be spruced up. I was not impressed with it. They had some really nice outdoor areas that were enclosed with decorative fences, like a nice garden area, and it was very secure for people who have memory problems. The location would be great because it's right in the middle of the city, but I did not see a lot of evidence for activities.

Brookdale had a beautiful, nice layout, and the grounds were clean. It had a nice sitting area, a nice entrance way, and it was light and airy. The residents we interacted with were happy and smiling. It was a great place.

My mom has been in Brookdale Finneytown for a couple of days now, and we really like it. She is adjusting slowly but is getting to like it. They have many activities, like dancing and cards. It’s clean and orderly, and the people are extremely nice. The care is very good.

Brookdale Finneytown was lovely, new, and clean and they bent over backwards to get my mother to go there. I would have no trouble if she went in there. The room was lovely, and the staff bent over backwards to make my mother feel comfortable so she would want to go there, but she wasn't ready to go into assisted living. I have nothing negative to say, and I was very impressed with their Director of Nursing.

My mother-in-law was in Brookdale Finneytown. One of the complaints I had was whenever she was hospitalized and returned to the nursing home, they didn’t reconcile her meds, which led to lots of doctors’ visits. This happened several times, and one of them was important medicine for Alzheimer's, which they should have realized that they weren’t giving her. We visited her in the main facility; we didn’t go to her room. I know that they did have a couple instances of bedbugs, but I guess you’re going to have that when you have a lot of people living in an area like that. I think they took very good care of the residents and had a lot of memory activities for them, so they did a very good job with that. It was very nice. They had an ice cream parlor and a little common area.

Brookdale Finneytown looked clean, a little bit brighter inside, and it didn’t smell. The rooms were nice and spacious; clean carpeting. The woman who toured me was extremely helpful and very nice.

Brookdale at Finneytown was older and it wasn't that we didn't like it; we just liked the other two places better. The people we visited were very accommodating. I don't really remember what I didn't like about Brookdale.

Brookdale Place is very nice, I was actually inquiring for myself, and it was not something that was suited for me, but I like the facility. The staff was extremely helpful, the room was great, and they served us a coffee. They had an old jukebox. The only problem was it was a little bit loud, but other than it was great.

Quaint decor and a friendly welcome can be deceiving! Very disappointing. Very Stressful. One has to be a strong advocate for their parents. Too many communication, inconsistent care and billing issues; noted by our family and two others we spoke with. Both the Director and the (3rd?) Health and Wellness Director were Disrespectful, Bullying and Undermining, slyly twisting words to shape what they wanted rather than respecting the Resident or respectfully honoring the families practical requests. After initial friendly support, their presentation turned Very Unprofessional: harsh, lacking etiquette, unskilled communication. Bottom line seems to be Power and Money. Maybe they get pressure from Corporate? Whatever the reasoning, it was too much Emotional Pressure on our family. However, a couple of care givers and nurses were very good; respectful, astute, kind and compassionate. Thank God for them! But others seemed negligent or unqualified. AND there was a high rate of turnover among the staff. Our family would NOT recommend Brookdale!

Brookdale Place is a clean facility. The people are friendly. Their residents seemed to be happy and well cared for, although they weren't doing any activities at the time of my visit. They were just mainly sitting around and talking. However, just walking through it once, it looks like a good place to be.

The staff was very helpful at Brookdale. The building was okay. They were getting ready to do some remodeling. I didn't spend too much time there, but I know they were doing activities. They had more staff, too.

Brookdale Place was clean. The caregivers, staff, and personnel were appealing and they've been very attentive to my parents. I have one parent in the Claire Bridge Alzheimer's unit and one parent in the regular section. They really like it. They get three meals a day. I like how clean it is and they have different options of doing different types of events. If they want to go someplace, even my mother who is in the Alzheimer's unit, they take them out to lunch and out to the mall. They have a lot of activities there to keep them engaged if they wish to participate. It's also at a reasonable price, so I feel that we're getting a good product from the money that we're spending.

My mom and dad are in Brookdale Place at Finneytown. They actually have an adequate number of staff to handle the job, which particularly was a good thing to be. They have RNs, aides and housekeepers and they are doing a wonderful job. Their staff are very good to them, very respectful, and very affectionate. They seemed to be in a lot better spirits.

My grandmother Donna was recommended to go to a home shortly after she passed. A family friend recommended this facility to us, as their grandfather was in the facility and liked it. He was absolutely right about the faculty. These people would go out of their way to make sure that my Grandmother was doing fine. Even going as far as going back to the building after thier shift was over to make sure my grandmother was cared for. This meant a lot to me. My Grandmother loved it there, she especially loved the orange juice in the mornings, one of her favorite things. They offer a variety of ammenaties and are a great place to send your loved ones, or a friend of a friend. Highly recommended!

As a family, grandma has always cared for us. However, as time went on it became apparent that grandma needed some assistance when it came to living on her own. This was when we as a family chose to get her some help. We came across Brookdale Place at Finneytown with a little skepticism. But we were pleasantly surprised. The grounds are exceptionally well-kept. The facility itself is excellent. There are many amenities and excellent food. There were lots of people to keep grandma company and the staff of the facility are more than accommodating and friendly. They are very caring and able to handle any problems that arise. We are incredibly happy with this facility and grandma seemed right at home. It's so comfortable and feels just like home. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a quality assisted living facility filled with caring staff, excellent amenities and a sparkling facility.

Personally I felt Brookdale was beautiful. What struck me the most was the calmness of the place. And at this time in my mother's life, this was exactly what she needed. My mother can be quite the handful and I was very taken with the fact that the staff were deferential but firm with their handling of my mother's care. Also though it could be considered out of the way for some, when needed I could easily enough catch a bus and take a gander at how my mother was faring. She wasn't in dire need of help with bathing and the like, but she definitely had problems with choosing what to wear and preparation of her meals. It felt good to know she had people on hand to help around the clock. They also stressed routine and repetitive activities to help with her cognitive abilities but to help keep her soothed and it seemed to work. She seems to be happy there and much more at peace and helps us to be more content in our decision to being her to this home.

I visited this community this evening for the first time my friend lives there. I was really impressed with how all the staff interacted with the residents. This evning they were hosting a concert on the lawn which was quite enjoyable. There were lots of residents outside along with family members and people from the surrounding community. This community has a really homey feel about it and my really likes living there. The community is decorated tastefully and is very inviting. I would recommend and look forward to their next event.

the location is beautiful, and the amenities are great. The building feels like an old grand souther house, and there's so much going on, and it seems like a lot of the residents loved it. Who wouldn't love having a homemade iceream stand and full service spa in their living place? but the staff didn't care about my grandmother. She died of a UTI that went untreated, because the nurses were constantly late getting her her medication. She was in a lot of pain, and they took a urin culture late, and the lab results were over a week late, far too late to do any good about the UTI. Not only that, but they were constantly late getting her her pain medications, so she was in horrible pain her last few days.

Overall, I would use the word "disappointed" in my evaluation of this facility. My grandmother was a resident of this facility for four years in the Alzhiemer unit. This facility was private pay and she had to move out after she ran out of money. When I originally went to the facility to check it out for my grandmother, I was quite impressed. Everyone seemed very friendly and eager to help. And it was generally that way at first, but it went down hill.First, you start to notice where the facility is dirty and doesn't get regularly cleaned. Also, there is the smell. my daughter refers to it as "old person smell" and you notice it as soon as you enter the building. Some of the workers were very good, but the turn over was very high. Thus, every couple of months there were new people and you had to explain things all over again because none of it seem to be passed on from worker to worker. My two biggest issues were the expense. It started off at about $3000 per month, but with the extra care my grandmother needed it ended up costing about $6000 per month. On top of that, she was also on Hospice and we were billed for items that Hospice was paying for - and we could never get the facility to refund the money they double billed. The last straw - after 4 years and probably $250,000 we didn't even get a thank you card from the director of the facility.I would certainly not recommend this facility to anyone else.
