I was a resident in the Chardon Healthcare Center for 17days. The nurses and staff were all very friendly and cheerful which helps a patient feel better. One staff member particularly stood out from the crowd and was exceptionally kind and very Caring , namely, Ms. Angel Watson. The floors were dry or wet moped regularly and the facility was kept clean and tidy. Food was pretty good most days.

My family member was treated awfully. I really don't think they do any background on these people they hire as nursing assistants. We had this one named Britney who, I swear, reeked of Marijuana and could barely carry on a conversation. I was concerned to the point that I reported the facility to the state.

My mom is in Chardon Healthcare Center right now for rehab. They have a very good physical therapy and occupational therapy department. They're very helpful and knowledgeable. They were consistent the whole time that she was there, and helped train me for her to go home so that I could care for her home. The food was good and the care was to be expected. They were shorthanded so it would take the aides a little longer to help her with going to the bathroom and things. But it's shorthanded everywhere, that's the norm now. Medicare paid for it, but to stay there for long would cost $9,000 a month. They had a lobby area and a sitting area where they serve coffee to the residents and visitors.

I was talking to my sister for over forty minutes and she was in pain and wet and no one came.

I had stayed at this facility for 16 1/2 months and most of the time the nurses and assistant nurses did a good job. Unfortunately there is a big turnover with employees and it’s hard to find good help, but the ones who have been their along time are very good. Rooms were clean and lots of activities to do and the food was good most of the time.

Horrible care. Loved one supposed to get a bath every other day, getting it once a week. Bedding changed only once a week even when there's an "accident"! Always passing the buck. No one is responsible! Aspirin given for kidney stone, no x-rays done. Possible UTI, but labs not done. Lost eye drops from Optometrist....no one accountable. Missing clothing. This is the worst place for a nursing home that I've ever seen. Please do not leave your loved ones there!!!!!! Had to give 1 star only because there was no option for ZERO stars!
