I have a relative who is in what they call "independent living," but all it is an apartment with utilities included. They hold back her mail, don't give her Mail for several days then by the time she gets it, it's overdue. Her things get stolen and it's just terrible. I encourage anyone to find someplace else to live.

Toured this facility for an option for long term care, for my family member. WHAT A DUMP!!!!! Was totally shocked that this place has anyone residing there...? So surprised that the State of Ohio doesn't close them down!! So heart breaking for those that have to live there!!! It is so run down. Very obvious & SAD, that owner does not put money back into facility. People are packed in here like cord wood. Semi-privates should be private rooms, they are so tight/small. No room for even a recliner! Was told most folks watch TV in bed or wheelchair. We walked in wearing masks. Receptionist was VERY RUDE, telling us we had to also wear a shield, which we had no issue doing. Then, here comes the gal to give us a tour. She was NOT wearing a mask or shield. She got on a soap box, telling us she does NOT believe there is such a thing as COVID!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous!!! Also admitted she is not & will not get vax'd ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAD... SAD... SAD...!!!!!! As an RN, I told her for the safety & respect of the elderly folks that live there, she should wear a mask. When asked why the facility allows her to not wear a mask, she stated; "Are you kidding, this place could not run without me!" Seems masks are for everyone else apparently. Location was convenient for us; but other than that, this place is worse than awful... SAD!!!! If considering this place for your loved one... Keep looking... Anyone sure deserves better!!!!

This facility never calls you back when needing to get a hold of a family member in the facility. The D.O.N. , rehabilitation therapist and front office will discard your phone calls when trying to connect t with your loved ones that reside here in this facility.

I know two people living at Jackson Ridge (Gaslite Villa) and they have nothing but good things to say about the service, the food, and the accommodations. As I went through there with my friend, we both concluded that it would be a good place. The facilities, food service, food quality, and attention that they give to the patients stood out to me. They offer a number of activities, so they have a variety. They have a chapel, and they do physical exercises with people who need it and want it.
