My wife is at East Park Retirement Community. It is fine. She has been there for two years. They take good care of her and the food is good. They keep everything clean. Everybody seems to be very cordial and seem to be doing everything that is expected of them. They are all friendly, knowledgeable, and they seem like they are doing their jobs well. I have not been there during activities for people in the memory care unit, but I know that they have Bingo and a few other activities available. She has her own apartment/ They come in and clean the apartment twice a week and they do the laundry. I have been in there several times and everything is clean. This is one of the cheaper places and I have talked to other nursing homes and their rates were higher. It seems like it is okay compared to the other nursing homes.

I have a parent in this facility and have been overall satisfied with the overall care from the staff. There have been a couple of past issues when the former administrator was there but has since been replaced. There is one "head nurse" whose personality and bed side manner is less than caring and acceptable but in my experience you always get at least one of those at these types of facilities. Facility is dated however clean from what I can tell overall and the younger staff seem to be genuinely caring for the residents.

I'm sick of this place. I hate it. My mothers been here for several months and they are terrible at paying attention to symptoms that could cause serious issues, even death. My mother gained almost 70 pounds in a few months and got pneumonia as she has congestive heart failure. You think they'd let us know that they believe something is wrong and we should get her to the hospital?? My sister called me (I'm in Florida) and told me out mom looked terrible and she was hard to the touch and quite swollen, I then said to get her to the ER ASAP. The Doctor is furious with the facility and strongly suggested not going back as she was days away from a full blown heart attack that probably would have killed her. I also had issues when I visited with my moms sheets being filthy and stinking, her not being bathed and a staff member borrowing money from my mom. I have witnessed people (residents) in the hall asking for help and watched a staff member look at them as their sweater was half on the floor with one arm in the other half and just ignored the poor woman. I stopped and helped her. Do not recommend this place at all.

We love Eastpark, my Great-Uncle is very happy there. The staff is friendly, compassionate, and helpful. The other residents are always happy too. When we visit we find people out and about socializing, playing cards or watching a game together. The spa room is peaceful and relaxing. The spa lady is wonderful, and you can tell she really enjoys her job. In fact all the nurses and other staff members always look happy and are smiling. It is a very nice atmosphere. The food is very good and if my Great-Uncle doesn't prefer what is being served, he can order something else. The building is slightly dated, however, it is clean and cozy. The price is affordable and overall a good value. We feel much better about him living here then we did when he was at home. Knowing that the nurses are helping with his medicine and looking out for him is a huge relief. We can worry less. Plus our visits are so enjoyable now. We can come and just have a good time instead of checking his pills, cleaning, etc. Now we come and have lunch with him in the dinning room and play some cards. I can't say enough home much we appreciate being the family instead of the full time caregivers. Are love and trust for Eastpark makes that happen.
