Building is dated but to be expected. It was hard to decipher which employee did what or even worked there actually i thought an aide was a resident. Not sure why employees were walking around in sleep bonnets and unmatched clothes but okay. Several patients had strong odors and unkempt appearance and the one growled at us. It's very clearly full of crazy people. That being said my mom is super crazy and no one would take her except wyant. They never once made us feel like they couldn't handle her behaviors and that's what my family needed. I didn't care about the prettiness. It's a place for the people that no one else will take. Where our loved ones go when their behaviors are too much for regular nursing home. It's not for picture perfect grandma and grandpa. As far as food goes it's the only thing my mom habitually complains about but I mean I've never heard anyone say nursing home food is delicious so... I would agree they definitely could use more activities more fun engagement not just medical. I honestly think they get a bad reputation from people blindly comming in not understanding its a skilled nursing home yes, but it's a skilled nursing facility that specializes in behavioral management. If your loved one dose not have behaviors do not look here lol

We brought q small side table and we had to move stuff to squeeze it in. The floor was filthy, the food tray was filthy, the room was cluttered and disorganized. Clothes hanging out of dressers and the closet was jammed with stuff. It was a challenge to squeeze a 36 Caron of Pepsi in it. The staff were not helpful, polite or considerate.

PLEASE, DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. It is filthy, including the bedding, floors and rooms. The food is non-edible and serving mostly cheap carbohydrates, and sweets. Clothing and belongs disappear at an alarming rate. The staff is unattentive and would rather stand in the halls complaining to one another about personal issues. They do not speak to the patients with any respect or concern. The rooms are outdated and dirty. Interactions with staff are virtually non-existent. Activities seem limited to watching a TV if the TV works.

It stinks like urine. It’s filthy. Patients wander aimlessly. The air is full blast but the patients only have 1 thin blanket. Clothes disappear at an alarming rate. This place should be shut down. Nurses don’t want to be bothered. They act like they don’t see you when you’re right in front of them. They keep their heads down.

The facility smells of urine. The staff is difficult to reach. They avoid conversations, when I call, they fumble with the phone, and then it hangs up. They don't send financial reports. The name of the local director or person in charge is not listed on their web page and he never returns your call. They overstep their bounds by determining what items to order from OTC benefits. Clothing, TVs, and other items disappear from my loved one's room. I am investigating other facilities so that I can move them to another facility. I do not recommend Wyant Woods Care Center.

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO WYANT WOODS. Once your there they make your life miserable. They advise you not to visit. Smell is horrible. The directors wont return your phone calls. Try leaving when your Medicare runs out, they find a reason to hold it up to keep you so you have to pay out of pocket. Please search out other facilities, there's other choices do not let hospital force you to go to Wyatt Woods .
I just couldn't believe the poor conditions

The first floor is the representative of the place. You don't smell anything on the first floor, it deceivingly looks like a decent place. However once you get on the elevator the urine smell hits you before the elevator stops. The people walk around like zombies, unkept horribly disheveled and sad looking. My uncle passed away. They called and told my mother this over the phone instead of just telling her to come to the facility. They attempted to mop as we were coming in. The stench was nauseating. His roommate was still in the room with my uncles body. No condolence tray, no privacy to grieve, not even tissues were offered. I don't understand how this place is still in business. It's that bad. We were in the process of getting my uncle out of there. I just wished things could have moved a little faster. I wouldn't want my dog at this despicable filthy place!!!! The rooms are small and horrible smelling. The staff was rude and unconcerned. I didn't see any activities going on except the residents paxing up and down the hall. The basic amenities are offered.

This place is horrible. The urine smell is overwhelming, and overall the cleanliness is lacking. The private room bathroom was unusable as it had flooded and I could not find any janitorial staff. Speaking of the staff, I've only seen 1 person actually working, during the handful of visits I have made there. The meals (disgusting) are not served in any distinct time frame. An alarm is continuously on, to which the staff's response was - if we turn it off it will just go off again from someone going out that door. So the alarm is on in the dining room continuously.

I have visited a friend there. The care is terrible. Residents are in clothes that have dried food on them, male residents are not shaved, & resident's hair is not combed. Often 1 nursing assistant for 25-30 residents Staff might be more friendly & caring if they weren't overworked. Food is disgusting. Place is filthy and has a urine odor.

Not enough aides on evenings to provide the most basic care. Locked wards have an aide who can't even get help if needed. Dietary dept very careless and won't serve the food items that are ordered. After 2 years of complaints, management still offers only excuses, not results. Place less dirty but still has gnats even in winter.

Nurses are negligent, food is disgusting. Nurses aides and other staff constantly discussing patient personal details RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PATIENT and in hallways, consistently in violation of HIPPA law. DO PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE.

My stepfather was in Wyant Woods for six years, and when we visited him, they took very good care of him. He never had a bed sore even though he was bedridden. They helped him eat when he needed the extra help eating. He had brain cancer; he had some problem eating, so they helped him all the time there. They would update my mother anytime, and they take him to the dining room so he could interact with people. The nurses would come in and visit him when he didn’t feel well, and they were very good with him.

My problem isn't with the old facility but lack of staff, poor kitchen and security. This is not a facility for someone who is elderly and doesn't have to rely on Medicaid. My family member was given a glass of milk that was a literal solid. My family member was on pureed foods yet received a meal that required a knife and fork. Some of the staff were great but there are too few and they overworked.

Wyant Woods is a little older facility. It doesn't look as nice as other facility we visited, but their staff is very good. They seem to care a lot about their patients. Everything seems to be going okay. Regarding accommodations, some of their rooms are shared and some of them are single but are average in size. I would recommend this facility to others.

My father stayed at Wyant Woods for 100 days. Their activities were great and phenomenal for the residents and the family. Their place was spic and span, very sterile, very clean. They had a courtyard with a great family lounge. The problem is they were just understaffed and overworked. At nighttime, there was only one RN, one aide per hall and there were like 28 beds in the hall.

Wyant Woods Care Center was a very sad facility. Everything was old. The floors were made of linoleum and dirty. The residents were cramped in the memory care unit and they looked really dreary. The workers did not smile and were unpleasant. We would never put my mother-in-law in that place.

My husband is sometimes agitated or aggressive and they are able to deal with him and duvert him to something instead of just sending him immediately to a psych unit. I appreciate that.
