The facility is one level, has an Alzheimer's wing, and very cheerful. The staff and administration have gone the extra mile to make the transition smooth. They uphold guidelines of the facility and law with care even though it is sometimes a puzzle to me. The rooms are bright and roomy and I have total access to visit my spouse any time of the day and night.

Carillon is a very nice 1 floor facility. They have a beautiful brochure. The staff that are there, are generally caring individuals. They sell a really quality experience for a set price per month. I can say that the care your loved one gets, will be adequate and up to standards of the industry. They suffer the same issues as many other similar facilities in the area. Always understaffed (even though they sell that they are always up to standards), for the needs of the residents. Large turnover, and lack of CNA staff. In management, there is also a large turnover at the facility. I am sure this is due to the corporate atmosphere. Food is minimally adequate. Nothing that is beyond that. Sometimes menu choices are not geared to the age and physical abilities of the residents. No CHEF inspiration here. Doubtful there is a CHEF employed by the corporation Recreation is lacking, even though there is a monthly calendar, as well as daily sheets of activities. Often the activities do not happen. Very rarely is there ANYTHING at all on weekends, (even though thre is a schedule sheet), when the full time person is not working. You will be sold a bill of dreams. Do not even try to communicate with the corporate office. They do not wannt to talk to you, or address any issues. They do want their monthly check promptly. I can't speak for the memory care unit. My loved one was not there.

Carillon was clean and nice. The staff was very friendly. I would choose it for somebody who needed assisted living. The rooms are small, but that's not really a concern, though it was much smaller than what my mom has now. They seemed to have very good care. I was impressed with it. If I was looking for an assisted living community, Carillon is the one I would probably go to. They had some recreational room. The dining area looked nice.

Stay away from this facility. The are consistently understaffed and have an extremely high turnover rate. They promise services at the time of sale that are not delivered once the elderly resident has moved in as a result of the staffing issues.

I liked Carillon Assisted Living of North Raleigh because it is brand new and they have all kinds of activities going on, though more expensive. The dining room was nice. Everybody was very friendly and helpful.

Carillon Assisted Living of Raleigh was a brand new facility and it was empty when I went there. It was very small yet it was homey and very clean. It was all in one level which was nice but it was a little confusing to get around. The dining room was quite small as well as all the other rooms. I saw an activity room but they did not have a room big enough for a movie night.

Carillon Assisted Living Facility, is a facility that is full of joy and activity. The residents at Carillon Facility is always respected by any staff or visitor. Anybody that is younger than the residents use yes mam and yes sir, at anytime of a conversation with the residents. The residents have exercise activities during the morning, to keep healthy and in shape. Community boards are located around the facility to note any events coming up such as residents and staff birthdays. Every month there is a family night held with many activities to enjoy. The staff at Carillon Facility prepare the residents food daily with fancy china. There are daily menus posted outside of the dining room area. In the kitchen there are snacks and beverages available for the residents all through the day. At Carillon Assisted Living Facility the staff keeps the residents satisfied and taking good care of.

There are several assisted living communities in the Raleigh region of North Carolina but I want to tell you a little about our experiences with Carillon. We have several family friends that now reside at the Carillon Assisted Living facility and we are delighted with the property and the caring devotion that is displayed by the members of this staff. Whenever we visit we know that the Executive Director or another staff member will take the time to say hello and speak with us without us having to go out of our way to locate them. This is a small courtesy, but one that means a great deal to us. As we are listed as the responsible party for two of the residents we are given regular updates by phone and we are encouraged to call with questions or concerns at any time of day or night. Social events and activities keep everyone busy and there are always new events being added to the schedule, which keeps everyone from getting bored. Holidays are a time for parties and themed celebrations which are as much fun for families and guests as they are for the residents. One of the features that we think is especially considerate is the fact that the buddy system is part of the normal routine. Whenever a new community member arrives a buddy is chosen from the group of residents and this person acts as a "˜social director' to help the new arrivals feel at home. This supportive program has generated many life-long friendships and it keeps the "˜newbies' from feeling awkward or lonely during those first few weeks of transition.
