My brother has been at PruittHealth Union Pointe for almost a month now. They are good. It's been a really good transition for him to the next step. I like the care and the communication. I like that they've followed through with his health plan. They've constantly communicated with me. I've seen every level of care from the physical therapist to the dietician, to the speech therapist. It's open to visitation at any time. Every time I go visit, everything's in tip-top condition.

My mom, who has been in the hospital 2 weeks is being moved to a rehab facility so my family and I were checking out various facilities near Monroe. I stopped by Pruittheath Union Pointe, spoke to the receptionist (who wouldn't even give me her name) and asked if someone could briefly show me common areas for residents since I wanted to make sure the place was kept clean and organized. She called the Administrator, who didn't answer the phone - so I was told she must be gone for the day. The facility was deserted - no one else in sight anywhere and I asked if she could just please show me the common area (I didn't want to disturb residents) which I could see a little of at the end of the hall but she refused. Who would want to bring a family member to a facility where staff can't be bothered to walk 100 feet to show me the adjoining room? My first thought was, if she can't be bothered to take 5 minutes for me, how will my mom be treated? That receptionist had no phones ringing and was doing absolutely nothing, and I was insulted with her "just go away" attitude! I wouldn't bring my mom to that facility if it were the only place in all NC! That receptionist should be fired for her rudeness and refusal to accommodate a new rehab patient who would probably need permanent long term care. If that receptionist couldn't show me that one room, what would she do if my mom needed help? Push her in the corner and ignore her is my thought! I wouldn't bring my worst enemy to a facility with that attitude!

We were highly impressed with this facility. The therapist were amazing as well as the nurses. We want to mention Rossi as our favorite nurse. She would come in every morning with a cheerful hello and took time to make my mother feel like she was her only patient. The only complaint we have is the food. It was not enough food, the same veggies and meals served every day. I wouldn't hesitate to put your family here but be prepared to bring in meals.

We found a place for my father. It's Pruitthealth Union Pointe. The facility is really nice. It's a newer facility with lots of amenities. They have been really responsive; constant communication. I'm feeling comfortable right now with them. The room looks nice. I haven't been able to go in because of the COVID, but I can see the rooms from the window. The rooms are very nice. My father is currently in the skilled nursing side rehabbing right now, and possibly moving to long-term.
