I was at Jesse Helms Nursing Center for a short-term care. It was a good facility and they took care of me. They had the exercise I needed to get back on my feet and walk again. The food was great too.

The rooms are not cleaned daily. The rooms pile up with dust and spider webs. The rooms smell like feces. There are feces stains remain in your rooms. They do not spray after changing someone's diaper, leaving you to endure the toxic odors. The trash stays in your room until possible overflow. The dirty linen piles up. Scattered dishes and trays are throughout the building.

Over the course of the last three weeks, baths and/or showers have been being overlooked and ignored. The excuse of not having a sufficient amount of Staff on hand is far from favorable. My family members as well as other passers-by have witnessed the gatherings and hanging out of the CNAs while discussing their social lives and trying to decide where they are going to eat on their lunch. We have also witnessed that they have had extra help from the students in training. In a highly acknowledged care facility as this, such subliminal standards should not be tolerated. No one wants to take accountability of such short comings regardless of how many times its reported.

The shower or bath area does not get scrubbed clean. The drain does not emptied. The shower curtains has not been changed in a year. The shower or bath area reaps of the scent of human wastes, bacteria, old hairs and the smell of mold. The shower curtains continue to have growing black mold on them When you go in there to take a shower, you see the bodily fluids just lingering there on the floor and equipment.

I have been visiting my dad for the last three weeks and observed that the room does get cleaned every day. It may be cleaned once a week if you force the employee's hand. There are ants crawling from behind the baseboards and wall guards. The ants are crawling on top of the wardrobe closets. The ants are crawling all up the wall. The ants are crawling in and out of the hampers. The ants are crawling in the bed with the residents and on the residents food. I have also seen the ants crawling in the bathroom. No one seems care. You report it and all of them have a nonchalant attitude. OSHA and the State Department needs to investigate immediately. This is unacceptable to subject our love ones to such conditions.

This place is terrible. My mom was in for rehab for 3 weeks. She had both vaccines and still had to be quarantine for 2 weeks. Then was only able to visit 2 x a week. She was left in dirty clothes and then lost all of her clothes that family bought her. I did her laundry for her so no reason to lose clothes. The Dr. Is a community Dr. Only saw her once. Nurses do not call you back and Jamie the social worker would never return phones calls unless she needed something!!😡 I told head nurse and Jamie that all this was unacceptable 😡 my mom will not go back there!!!!!!

This is not a praise review and I know it will not be posted but here it is My sister had to go there for rehab, The aides she had several times was very ugly to her my brother was there one day and he put her in her place called her out the way she was talking to our sister. several times when I was there she was wet and needed to be changed I called and it took them 45 minutes to finally get there and do their job. I know since the virus has caused the lockdown she has not been taking care of. her mine is good to know what was going on and she continue to tell family members staff was mean and hateful She was told medicare wasn,t going to pay anymore so she was forced to leave on 4-1-2020 Husband at home 81 years of age and really can not take care of her. We also found out that her bottom is raw from lack of care. This about mad me sick We will never have a love one go to Jesse Helms again.

The staff is very caring and friendly and hospice has been exceptional. The facilities are clean and well cared for. Everything has been explained well to us and we are very pleased with what has happened in our experiences with my mom there with Alzheimer's. The food is also well done. This is certainly one of the finer facilities.

Jesse Helms Nursing Center provided poor care and was negligent with the care provided. Undocumented accidents that could not be explained to us happened more than once and I have serious concern of abuse at this facility.
