The Gardens was gorgeous. We loved it and put in an application, but they said we didn't have enough money for it. They had a swimming pool, a lake, and very nice land around it. The staff member was fabulous and did her best. She even placed us in a one-bedroom to see if we could get in. We saw them playing a game, and it seemed like they had a lot of things going on.

We have friends who live here at Gardens of Taylor Glen, and they like it. It has 1200 square feet of living space which is really a small house, but it is an apartment kind of a condo. The monthly cost isn't all that great, but when you pay a certain amount that you don't get back, that's too much. It is not something we need at this point. We don't have a need for it, and it is just a convenience, but I am not ready for that kind of convenience. It is your place, so you own it. Our friend of course is very meticulous, so it was very clean. Everything else there is top notch. They have medical care facility which is attached. You have the option of moving into those if your health determines that you need more intensive care. Your meal plan is up to you. They have dining room facilities that look like a cafeteria, and they do have a recreational facility. They have a very nice auditorium for group events. It is very well laid out. You have room to park and room to walk. They have shuttle buses that carry you to and from town. It is a very nice setup, but we don't want to spend that kind of money. If you can afford it, then it is great.

Gardens of Taylor Glen is a gated community. It was neat and clean, and the grounds were pretty. The staff seemed really nice. The people that walked me around seemed to know what they were talking about and showed me everything. I liked the fact that it had independent living, assisted living, nursing care, and memory care all under one roof. I am hoping that my parents will decide to go there because I think that would be the best place for them.

I was able to visit Gardens of Taylor Glen, and it is a gated community. They have everything there from independent living, assisted, memory care, and skilled nursing unit. They offered it all. The facility is a little fancy, and it's also more like a facility environment, but it was a very nice high-end place. They have all kinds of activities for the residents. They offer different kinds of activities, but again when you go into memory care what they can participate in is limited. I am impressed with the fact that once they accept you as a client you are there until death; they made that commitment. Their rooms are very nice, and they do have semi-private rooms. You can also bring furniture if you want to. They have a nice dining facility although I don’t know about their food. Overall, it's a very nice facility although very expensive.

It's a very, very nice Baptist retirement community and it's what I'm looking for. It seemed to be very warm and friendly atmosphere. You don't really know until you've live there, but they're very clean, it seems to be very well run, and down to earth. There's not a lot of height associated with it. I'm really looking forward to going there and I'm really excited to be going back to my family.
