The rooms are older but kept clean. The floors are swept and mopped daily. The staff are very friendly and up beat. My Mom really enjoy the games and exercises. She loves getting her hair washed and styled.

The facility smells of pee and poop. Lazy nurses. Food is horrible. People screech all night long. Would bring g medications 4 hours late. Disgusting place.

I toured Saturn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It was pretty good. The person who gave me the tour was really nice. It was a really nice tour. There were some rooms where there was only one in each room, and then some where there was two.

There is an issue with missing items that belong to the residents and/or possible theft of the residents' items at this facility as it is with a lot of nursing homes. Management doesn't show concern about the theft. There is also some lack of telephone etiquette. Training is needed. Try to get to owners of the facility if you can.

The CNA’s were not professional. They came into my room in the middle of the night and yelled at my roommate from the door, and she was farther away from the door. They ask her if she needed changing. I never slept the entire time I was there. Room was very small and I didn’t have enough room. My bed didn’t work and it was lumpy. Very uncomfortable and they never changed it. Food wasn’t always good. They charged me full price for 4 days. Don’t go there if you don’t want ripped off.

Saturn Skilled Nursing Facility proved to be a great place for my Mom. One thing I struggled with was placing my Mom in 24 hour skilled care. However, the reality was I could not tend to her needs the way she needed. My search was long, but I settled with two facilities that scored high in their ratings. When I visited Saturn the first thing I noticed was the smiles on not only the patients but more importantly the staff. They seemed to love their job. That was a winner for me. It proved to be a good choice for my Mom. Mom told me consistently how she was being well taken care of and more importantly respected. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. They took good care of Mom and provided not only the care she needed, but was loved by the staff. Keep up the good work Saturn Staff, your kindness and attention to detail to your patients is greatly appreciated.

If zero or below zero was available, that is really I would rate it. The staff put on a show for the families when they come and visit. They really do not care about the patient. My aunt and father was there, both got sick after being there. Bed sores were on my father. It spread and grew. They were not maintaining it. It seems like his orders came from the hospital doctors, which mean their staff medical team did not care for him like they should or they do not have the knowledge either way is bad. My father could not swallow. When able did not prepare the food to avoid it from going into his lungs nor check the progress when they feed him. My father fell and laid on the floor until another patient saw him lying there in his blood. More than once instead of taking my father to the hospital while breathing in distress, the staff will take him to diaylsis. If you really care about your loved one, do not send them to this place.

I visited Saturn two weeks ago. The staff were very nice and helpful to all my questions. The first hall i came to had clean carpets and shiny floors. The walls were clean. The other two halls were not as clean looking but they appeared to be working on fixing the problems. Overall. I would recommended this facility for your loved ones.

This facility has improved the cosmetics of the building, however the number of staff and their availability or willingness to provide adequate care is a concern. During the past several years, some of residents that I visit, health and personal care have been effected by staff turn-over. This facility may not be the best, however it supersedes other places I have visited located in Charlotte. Research, inquire, visit and make your own judgement.

For the most part I would recommend this facility to anybody that may be searching for a nursing home in the Charlotte area. Being an older facility that has been around for a while there we some areas that could use some TLC. Some simple paint and new furniture would be nice and would make the facility more appealing. However, with the staff on hand at the time, I would say it far outweighed the downside of the facility. Every time we visited we were greeted with a warm welcome and the staff was always attentive and on top of making sure we had everything we needed. I would put a special emphasis on the staff simply because my great grandmother passed away at the facility shortly after being admitted and they never once feel short on their end of taking care of the family. Anyone looking for a top notch facility should really consider checking this place out because I am sure you will not be let down or disappointed.

My father is a resident of this so called nursing home. We are attempting to get him out of there. I have never seen a nursing home and care givers who don't care about their patients. My father has sat in his dirty diaper for hours before someone finally comes to change him. The staff treats him very poorly. He has developed bed sores while in there. He has just recently fallen out of his wheelchair and he laid there for who knows how long because the staff had turned off his alarm because they get tired of hearing it going off when he gets up. I would not recommend this home to anyone. His room is always dirty and we have to remind the staff to clean his room. Many times we have gone into visit him and we end up giving him a sponge bath because they don't even bother to do that. They don't even have wash clothes and towels in their rooms. Please if you are thinking of putting your loved one in here, DON'T. Keep looking and hopefully you will find a better home for him or her.

I visited Saturn Nursing Home with a former client who was looking for a long term care facility. The facility is large, I would say a little larger than the "average" and my first impression was that it could have been a bit cleaner. The appearance was a bit dingy and dated, and there was a bit of an odor in the common areas, like maybe something stale. In addition, I peeked into two resident rooms that had a slight urine odor to them. My opinion was that housekeeping could do a better job with cleanliness and perhaps nursing with assistance to residents with personal care. The staff were friendly and I felt like the facility was adequately staffed. The Social Worker was very helpful in answering a few questions and the nurses smiled and said hello to us as we walked through. I did notice a couple of residents participating in an organized craft activity and it seemed as if the activity schedule was adequate to keep the residents busy. We didn't spend a lot of time in the facility but I would say that I would review it as average and probably would be neutral about recommending it to others. I would have liked to see a cleaner environment but did appreciate the attitude of staff throughout the facility.
