My father has been in Sans Souci nursing home for close to a month now. Everybody's friendly there. He's probably not having a good time, but he's comfortable and he's happy with everybody there. He has a heater/air-conditioner, which he's allowed to control. He has a window. The accommodations are good. The bathroom is very clean. He's on a restricted diet, so the food that they're giving has no taste, but that's because he has diabetes. He's complaining about it because he can't have what he wants, but he can't have that right now. The staff is good and friendly. When my dad has any complaints like he has a headache or anything, he just lets the staff know and they talk to the nurse and they give him medicine or they give him creams for his feet. When I go visit him, they do the COVID test and everything, which is pretty good. I've gone there when they're giving him his therapy and the therapists are very friendly. They talk to him in Spanish as well, which is good. As soon as you walk in, everybody greets you from every nurse station to the floor where he's at. As soon as you walk out, they greet you. They're friendly. I've seen the food and it's warm. It's never cold or anything. It's good food, but it's not what he wants to eat.

Zero stars...This is a WARNING to the public!! Please do not make the mistake of leaving your loved ones in the care of the staff at San Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing center located in Yonkers. To make a very long story short. Yesterday my grandmother fell while under the supervision/care of the staff of this facility. As a result, she fractured her hip and has horrible scrapes on her arm . They waited SIX hours to notify us of the incident and it took another two hours for her to be sent to the hospital & that's only because I called EMS myself. It took a total of EIGHT hours for my Grandmother to get the medical attention she needed. I am disgusted at the inhumane way the staff treated my Grandmother. I have never dealt with such unprofessional, unsympathetic, staff in my life!!

I was a resident at Sans Souci and I must say thank you. I am very grateful for the love that was shown to me from the workers of the facility, all the way from the kitchen staff, maintenance workers, recreation, therapy, nurses to the administration. Never was it a time when an employee ever came off rude to me. My stay there was nothing but hospitable. The place is exactly what it means, without worry, free of care....

Right now, my mother is in the hospital, and then after that, she is going to go to Sans Souci Rehab. It is nearby, and I was referred to it by the hospital that she is in. The staff is very good, very friendly, and loving, and their physical therapy is aggressive, but compassionate. The rooms are comfortable, good quality, and clean. They have more activities than any other nursing homes that I deal with in the area. They try to keep the people busy. The food is decent, and it is a good place, convenient, and efficient, and I would absolutely recommend them.
