My mom moved out of the Comprehensive Rehab and Nursing Center at Williamsville and now she's staying home with me. She had a couple of friends there, but she didn't like it there at all. She never eats there because she's the last one to be fed, and her food is cold. The staff was nice to me. As far as activities, my mom did play bingo at one time. They have a beauty salon, but they closed it when Covid hit. It's been closed since. I took her home because she fell, and they packed her bags, and they packed a bag of poop in her bag. The residents always call the nurses' station, and they always have the answering machine off. My mom had to go down there and say please, put my phone on. When you walk in the lobby it's clean, but the rooms aren't.

My father was temporarily placed in this institution for twenty-one days back in May 2016. If I had custody over him at the time of his placement, I would have never, ever placed him in this miserable setting. For anyone who has a discerning spirit, this place is extremely dark. The entire wing my father was assigned to stank horribly like urine. The first day he was there, his roommate, also a new patient, was clearly unstable and incoherent and walking around with a cane. He was unsupervised and fell straight backward onto my father who was bedridden. Thankfully my father was not hurt, and good thing this poor man fell onto my father and his bed instead of going straight backward onto the concrete floor. As far as the staff go, there were some older nurses and aides who conveyed a care for my father or the elderly in general. However, I feel sad that they are stuck working among many younger aides who were smart-mouthed, unprofessional in speech, and had a demeanor sopped with apathy. I was told, "We're not gonna just jump when you need something" and "We're not gonna take an hour to feed your father." The home was clearly understaffed, and nurses were seen working doubles regularly. One RN was observed outside of my father's room clearly overwhelmed with her situation stating, "I can't deal with this anymore." The facility's doctor had my dad doped up on medical marijuana "to stimulate his appetite.". However, staff were not taking the time to feed him all of his meals, at times leaving 75% of his food unfinished. He was emaciated, not to mention that the donabinol pills (marihuana) diminished what little cognition he had left. Thank God I was able to get custody of my father through the courts within a reasonable time period and get him out of there. Worthy to mention, I had even phoned Tuesday 5/31 (three days ahead of time) advising the appropriate social worker that a court order would be in hand on Friday, and I would be removing my father from the facility. I asked her to have all the necessary paperwork prepared so there would be no delays. Not only did she NOT get anything ready for discharge, but she never even showed up for the 11:00 AM appt. I had scheduled with her to go over discharge paperwork. I waited until 11:20 A.M. before the front desk staff could contact her. There she was, walking down the hallway in jeans and sneakers as she was shirking her responsibilities. When I questioned her about the discharge meeting and whether or not she was going to sit down with me and go over the paperwork, she stated, "No, you can talk to the head nurse at the nurse's station and tell her to provide the paperwork." Inept! Unprofessional! Irresponsible! She did not even have my father's prescriptions ready -- which I had specifically asked for! I had to search out the facility's physician's assistant on my own in order to have these scripts written. From a professional's perspective, I'd like to add that the head administrator was regularly seen inappropriately dressed for the healthcare setting, wearing jeans, golf shirt, and sneakers. This is not respectable dress for someone running a healthcare institution. If you care anything, anything at all about your family member or friend who needs institutionalized care, do NOT place them in the custody of this facility. I would not even kennel my pet there.

I'm so sad I left my dad there. Very unprofessional staff. I've never seen a place run so horrible. His dinner never came to after 7 . The head nurse was so rude and had no compassion. She didn't want to address my question. She never did access him or even make a cart In front of me. I will be watching recording and observating. I'm sorry but no rating is deserved right now I am in the negative stage

I cannot even give this place a one star rating..it would have to go in the negative..and I'm talking about it as now new ownership under comprehensive rehab services. Being in the medical field for ages, the nurses aides in this place couldn't be more uncaring, unsympathetic , unfriendly then they were. They care nothing about the elderly, This was the worst place I have ever seen being in the medical field and I have seen a lot of places. I will be following this review up with a complaint to the Health department as my heart breaks for all those people who are still stuck being in that place....this place needs to be shut down....if your relative is reasonably healthy when they go in here, they wont be in a couple weeks... dreadful dreadful place.. I do have to be fair and comment that at least the place looked clean...other than that...

The absolute worst place to go if you are in need of elderly care. The care for my mother was unprofessional, inadequate and downright awful. Things were also stolen from my mother's room. One star is too many!!

Awful. The gutter would not be much better. Despite complaints to the state and the County Ombudsman's office no improvement. Continually short staffed, Staff that is there complains non-stop about management and new owners. It breaks my heart that I have not been able to get my father into another facility.

St. Francis Home of Williamsville was pretty good with OK cleanliness. Their food wasn’t the greatest, but it was OK. The staff was friendly and attentive.

This place is horrible and should be shut down. Do not send your loved one here! My mother-in-law went there from the hospital we she was in generally good health. Two weeks later they started to have issues with her, I went to check on her because her behavior had changed so much. They said she may have a UTI which can alter behavior and that they would check to see if that was what was wrong. They obviously did nothing because two weeks later they found her unresponsive, called the ambulance, took her to ICU where she died 5 days later from a UTI!

I have a family member who is rehabbing at the facility. We have discovered him left in saturated linens and request for care are left unattended or done in a untimely manner. Complaints to supervision or staff are answered with we had 11 call offs or we are short handed. I asked a staff member for information on the ownership so I could contact them and was told I don't have that. Also was told by another staff member that new ownership has made cutbacks and facility is always understaffed.

This place should be shut down. Awful. Patients are completely neglected, staff would prefer to not work at all and leaves family to care for loved ones. Family had to hire aid, as staff was absent. Loved one fell out of bed twice before staff took steps to ensure safety. Stay away. No one should ever be treated this way. EVER

Filthy dirty and unequipped. Nurse on duty didn't have any towels, washclothes or gowns. After 5 days my Dad developed bedsores and got dehydrated. He fell in his room and when we located a nurse, she made us call 911. Before my Dad went in, he couold walk to the bathroom, they were too lazy to help to the bathroom so they put him in depends diapers. Often times, no PT at all, all day! They would come and move his legs up and down while he laid in the bed! We got him out of there ASAP!

I recently visited my sister and this place has no supervision are patients are mistreated. My sister was left in a bedpan for over two hours. Food is bland and almost always very cold. Patients in wheelchairs are left in areas that are means to exits for hours therefore obstructing means of exit which must be left free of all obstruction at all times

The people working at St. Francis Home of Williamsville were very nice. There were more patients in the hallway, and they need more space. It is small for the residents. They did have activities for them. They had us singing, and they worked on different projects. It wasn't as updated as the other places, but the cleanliness was still satisfactory.

We did have a prior experience with St. Francis. It is also part of Catholic Health System. They were awful and horrendous. The care was awful. The passion and empathy was not there. The staff was awful. Most of them were not caring and some of them were even worst. The food was bland, even yucky. Their rooms were drab. Overall, they need to close this facility down and start it again.

This place is horrible. Go elsewhere. They watched my loved one not eat anything in 5 days and did nothing in his fragile condition. Currently working on getting this investigated. Left call light where they couldn't reach etc... Trust me go to a place that cares

I had a total knee replacement and came here for 10 days of rehab. Worst mistake of my life. Now my leg is frozen and I am in pain all the time. Rehab was only once a day instead of 2 or 3 times a day as other places have, with occupational therapy once a day, There was little communication between the nursing staff and the rehab and I often did not receive meds in time. The living section was terrible with workers who should not care for the sick. There were a few who were excellent.
