ACT Care Group is located in Staten Island, New York, one of the five boroughs of New York City. It has a large community of more than 476,000 residents, and 16% are seniors over the age of 65. Locals have easy access to all the culture and attractions in nearby Manhattan, but closer to home, they can enjoy visits to Snug Harbor Cultural Center or the world-famous Staten Island Zoo.

ACT Care Group is an adult day care facility that specializes in Alzheimer's disease and dementia care. Its goal is to help maintain seniors' health and to decrease the negative experience associated with dementia. It also allows caregivers to get a break so they can focus on their daily responsibilities or relieve stress. The ACT staff is fully trained on how to assist seniors with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and hygiene.

ACT Care Group has a long list of daily activities that include critical thinking and discussion sessions, social events and pet therapy that strengthen the brain and reinforce positive behaviors. Round-trip transportation is available to all seniors in the program, and everyone is fed healthy meals from a menu that is overseen by a registered dietician.
