My mother has been at The Landing at Queensbury since September. It seems fine. She seems to be getting the care she needs. It's obviously a learning process because they are learning about her and she is learning about them. She is doing well, and the staff seems good. They have both studios and apartments, and my mother has a 1-bedroom apartment. Due to Covid, activity is not nearly as much as they normally have. Right now, they have a Covid case, so they aren't doing any activities. I know in the past, she has done yoga, she got her nails painted, and she played bingo. They have a beauty salon, but it is closed at the moment. They have a beauty salon, a dining room, and an activities room. They have a library, a section where they can play pool, and a courtyard they can sit in. I'm not allowed to go in obviously. They have visitation right now, but they're following Covid protocol. I find it expensive.

I toured The Landing at Queensbury. It seems like a very nice place to go. The community is not all that big. It's very pleasant. It's kind of off the road by itself. The room that I'm going to have overlooks a yard and then woods. The staff was great. They have 24-hour nurses that are there, they give you your medications and things like that. They showed me the menu that they were having that day. It looked good and there were two choices for every meal, which was nice. They have it set up like a restaurant.

My mother is going to move into The Landing at Queensbury. We chose them because they were the only place that returned my call. The apartment was nice. You can fit a queen in there, and it has a full refrigerator freezer, microwave, sink, and full bath with a seat in it, and we can decorate it pretty much all we want. It is very spacious. We got her into a small, single room, and it's very good. She doesn't have to have a kitchen anymore, so that makes a big difference. There is a lot of storage. The director is wonderful. Every question I had, was answered immediately. She was very supportive when I was asking about different things that my mom had been doing and how we could deal with it. I met the chef who prepares the meals, and he bent over backward to make sure that I knew that my mom was going to be fed well. I met the cleaners. She will have her room cleaned for her and they were very nice. Everybody that we came across there was very nice and very hospitable and went out of their way to introduce themselves. They have a recreation room where they play games. They do bingo, crafts, and different games. They also have a morning exercise group that they do every single morning. They have music entertainment, so they have people come in and entertain the people. They have puzzles in every seating area; they have two of them upstairs and two of them downstairs. The outside is absolutely beautiful. They have walkways for the people and sitting areas, kind of like picnic areas where you can just go outside. You can eat outside if you want to when it's nicer and they have birdfeeders everywhere. The menu was very expansive. If they are having scrambled eggs that morning and you only like an egg over easy, the chef will make it over easy. The meals are very nice and you have two choices with each meal and it's a full dinner with lots of vegetables and a dessert. Everything was spotless. They're very careful about making sure that everybody is safe and clean. They're taking care of everybody, and they're very conscious of that. The director that I had been talking to was so helpful with everything that we were going through and was able to help us alleviate any of our fears about moving her there.

The Landing at Queensbury gave a very nice tour. The place was very nice and very clean. The amenities were very good. The rooms were just a tiny bit smaller. My father wants a bigger apartment, but they only have one size all around. They also did not furnish it. Their activities room was well-stocked with arts and crafts and different things for people to do. The grounds were nice and well kept. The people seemed nice and very helpful.

The memory care staff is very professional. It's a good place. My grandmother's room is very clean, bright, and well appointed. She loves the music, they have live entertainment, and indoor and outdoor activities. They have a beauty shop where they paint their nails and do their hair. They have board games, cards, and a TV. The food is average. They have common areas, sitting areas, and a cafeteria.

My mother got into here and she will be moving in there in about two weeks. But we did visit and the people were very nice, we were able to eat a meal there and the food was good, and it just seemed like a very nice setting. The rooms were very spacious; there was a lot of room and a lot of privacy, so it was very good. They have a lot to offer -- good staff, a lot of area for people to mingle and get to know each other, and overall a very high rating.

It seemed very appropriate for our relative. They had a first floor apartment, and she can have her pet, which was important for her. It was very clean and modern. The kitchen was clean, and they had choices of food. It was very good. They did a lot of follow up, and they were very thorough.

My father is at Landing of Queensbury. The staff is very good. My father has adjusted quite well and is very happy there. I can't say enough good things about them. He is in a memory care facility, and their dining room is separate from the assisted living part. He gets along with the residents, and it's very nice. They take them out on a bus to various places for lunches and take them to movies as well. I am very happy.

My friends mentioned Landing at Queensbury and we also saw it on an advertisement so we went ahead and checked it out. I'd say the appearance of the facility is more elegant than the other facility we looked into. The place is nice. The rooms, I think, are big and clean. I would recommend this facility.

We checked out two cottages and they had a nice, walk-in porch and a nice deck. They also have a den which could be used for a bedroom, which could give you two bedroom. There is a half-wall that divides the living room and the kitchen. There is also a room for your washer and drier. It has heating and air conditioning. I liked everything about it. The people also seemed very nice.

Overall my experience with this facility was quite positive. My grandparents seemed to enjoy their personal living space, and generally liked the food served in the dining room. The staff is attentive, checking in on them several times a day for routine tasks such as dispensing their medicine, taking out the trash, or assisting with medical issues. My aunt lives in the same town, visiting regularly, and the staff was quick to relay important information to her as the primary contact. On two different occasions my grandmother and grandfather needed to visit an emergency facility, and reside temporarily in a nursing facility on the same grounds. Staff members were helpful in assisting with logistical tasks. Occasionally, depending upon the specific staff member in charge of checking in on my grandparents on a given day, certain tasks took longer than desired to be completed. I can recall at least one instance of coming in to a trash smell, and realizing the trash had not been emptied that day. This is why I rated this facility 4 stars and not 5. In general my family and grandparents were quite please with this facility.
