We were able to visit The Eastern Star Home & Campus. It was very pleasant, the staff was also very pleasant. It's a much older building than the other place we saw, although, for the age of the building, the apartments were very pleasant. It did not have anywhere near the activities as the other one, it's a more basic living. They had bingo nights, but they said that because of COVID, their other amenities were not up and running at the time. We only met one staff member who was the director, she took us on the tour and was very pleasant. They could open up more of the activities again as the risk of COVID is minimized at this point. So I would suggest bringing on an activity staff person and to open those back up. Unlike the other place that had three choices for each meal, they only had one. So whatever the menu for that day, that's what was served, there wasn't a variety for the individuals to choose from. I think that for the age of the facility, they do a very good job, it's just you can't compare it with the other place we toured. Budget-wise, it was very good and was less expensive than the other places. So dependent upon an individual's budget, it would be a decent choice for that budget.
