I am very pleased with The Sentinel of Mohegan Lake. First, the people are very nice. The management is very nice and very caring. I have the freedom to come and go as I please. There are no restrictions. Since I don't require any of the other services other than the room, I am happy here. I can bring my dinner from outside. I have a very lofty room with all the amenities like a telephone and television. And they keep this place spotless. The food is like regular cafeteria food. The tables are assigned, that way, everybody knows where they want to sit with friends. But most of the time, I don't eat there. They have activities, but I've never taken part in them. They bring dogs in to mingle with the residents. One day a week, they have opera nights. One of the residents was a big opera guy, and he explained the opera, and then he played it, and then people enjoyed it. They have a full set of activities. The people are very nice here. The staff are friendly and they're nice people. They will do whatever you ask of them. And they don't accept tips. It's good value.
