I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Please stay away from that place. The staff and administration were extremely unprofessional. Dirty floors and nasty food I overheard one of the nurses calling my dad a beast.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Sure the rooms look great in th picture, but they are filthy, accumulative dirt/ stains on the wall when the client arrived, meds from previous patients literally on the floor. Maintenance severely under staffed - they try Leader ship on the SOME floors are basically detached, either they’ve been there so long or burnt out from this being a second job. Most are not RNs, so the attention to details is missing. The RNs are good when you find one, but they aren’t many. The hands on staff - most are nice helpful& engaging- but that is far & few. Your family need consistent help everyday My family was there for 18 months everyday was miserable & we struggled to get anything from additional diapers, to receiving meds and food. No encouragement if patient says ‘No’ to meds I literally had to call an ambulance (2x’s) myself to help him- “they will let ur family lay there and die!” This is the truth. Do not send your family here. you will regret - keep searching but not here. Did I say how awful, and underserved the food is- On Saturdays it’s literally scraps - this true. The recreation staff is the best department there. The social worker n staff will ignore you - until you involve the State or other agencies involved. . Totally incompetent. The Medicaid office is ride n incompetent- no professionalism at all. Search NYS ratings - read the reviews & ratings. Anything read as harsh n disturbing is the truth. If it’s rated a ‘1’ or ‘2’ it’s the truth - don’t come here. The community/ transportation is good access.

I am/was a resident of this facility

This place is a dump, do not send your dog here let alone a family member. I was there for 24 hours everything was dirty and the food was old. They left me in my own waist for over 5 hours, the transfer facility had to clean me and I was supposed to be there for rehab from a hip replacement. I'm in a better place now. Thank you.

The staff at Midway Nursing Home are so welcoming and caring especially with my mother! I can tell that they really do care about all of their patients! They also are renovating all the patients rooms and they look better than a hotel room! I really happy with the wound care they have here and their rehab deaprtment

I visited this facility

The family member I visited had bedsores and seemed to have been neglected. She was not bathed, and she said to me that she was hungry. She seemed tired and groggy, and said she had recently been given medicine. The room was relatively clean, but could have used a once-over. The location was next to a highway, so the view from the window was drab. I asked my family member whether she had been asked if she wanted to go outside, and she said she had not been asked. I asked if anyone else had come to visit, and she said no one else had. There was a nurse that seemed relatively friendly that stopped in briefly while I was there, but did not proceed to turn my aunt over or move her after she mentioned that she felt discomfort from her bedsores. My aunt told me that she wasn't the one who usually did that, but that she seemed to have some sway in having another orderly come by and help. The bedpan, at the very least, was clean.
